There is a 'Restore Nature' march being planned in London on 22 June and I've just been sent info about it. The banner on the organisers website shows a photo of a march with a man holding a model of an animal on a stick. At first I thought it was a gerbil then I spotted the wings and realised that its meant to be a bat. But then I thought what if this was a gerbil? Wouldn't this be a wonderful way to spot each other in crowded gatherings and make contact with other like-minded gerbils. https://www.restorenaturenow.com/

'a man holding a model of an animal on a stick' reminds me of the whole roasted guinea pigs on a spit you can see in Peru. Let's please NOT put models of gerbils on sticks, it might be triggering for any passing guinea pigs...

A propos of this whole thread - it's bonkers and wonderful and funny and clever and makes me smile time and time again, and the gerbils are as cute as they are skilful and industrious.
