Article exposing the shady goings on of LGBT Youth Scotland charity in primary schools

I know the Telegraph have already covered this and highlighted issues with the charity, but Wings over Scotland has done another exposé on the goings on and has shown that not only are they visiting primary schools in Scotland (which is against their own charter as they declare that their support is for aged 13 up) but a very unhinged prior councillor was present at one of the primary schools.

Wings has written to the charity but I'm not sure if it's worth doing an FOI to find out what other primary schools they are visiting. Talking about sexuality and identities should not be going on in primary schools. My child is starting at a Scottish primary school this year so I'm very concerned.

Grooming Class

Daniel Sanderson of the Telegraph has filed a series of excellent but deeply disturbing articles this month about the growing presence in Scottish primary schools of LGBT Youth Scotland, a charity …

Well, that's Hanlon's Razor popping up again.

ArabellaScott · 29/08/2024 10:51

An old video here from 2013.

Michael from LGBTYS is here to tell us about why we must include men in feminism.

INeedAPensieve · 29/08/2024 11:49

Remember though @ArabellaScott we are simply support humans after all, and as support humans we must always ALWAYS include men in everything, regardless of how that impacts on us! Since men are the main humans only their needs matter and the sooner we as a species condition our young children to believe that the better. So of course this shite gets pushed into schools.

Thank you for this. Interesting to see that Children in Need (of all organisations) repeatedly funded this organisation for the last 14 years, with a total of £466,000, until this week. Janice also exposes that when the most recent paedophile was convicted, senior figures in the BBC argued "it should quietly pay the last two tranches of money in LGBTYS’s grant, rather than risk the wrath of activists by publicly defunding it".
If this is true then that surely is cause for dismissal - especially after the torrent of predators who have been exposed for working for the BBC.

Julie Bindel has also exposed the behaviour of LGBT activists in California arguing about unintended consequences of increased penalties for adults abusing children via the "sex trade". They successfully complained that increased penalties for those who abuse minors caught up in the sex trade will affect the LGBTQ+ community “disproportionately”.

I really do despair.

Thanks. A good, clear article.

What the fuck were the BBC thinking? Dare we ask?

StickItInTheFamilyAlbum · 31/08/2024 09:35

After these revelations, at a tense board meeting in May, Children in Need’s chair of trustees, Rosie Millard, proposed LGBTYS’s funding be suspended, pending an inquiry. But then came Easton’s conviction, with the BBC charity at risk of serious reputational damage. Senior figures argued it should quietly pay the last two tranches of money in LGBTYS’s grant, rather than risk the wrath of activists by publicly defunding it. But Millard prevailed and Children in Need finally cut ties.

Children in Need have a need to explore their funding awards, perform some due diligence and be less driven by ideology. They funded Educate & Celebrate (Turner mentions the Easton connection, not the only trustee with a dubious background).

This is all absolutely shocking. The next step is getting LGBTYS out of Scottish schools. At least until they are properly investigated and it's assured that there are no more paedophiles hiding in their midst. The fact that there's been 2 convicted and also allegations of sexual abuse and grooming from a third victim relating to a third person(s) in the organisation means it should be investigated asap.

Allegations of abuse and grooming from two people, that I'm aware of. And we don't know how many people may be alleged to be involved.

I genuinely don't understand why the organisation's governance doesn't mandate voluntarily withdrawing from schools and public-facing events or activities involving children until there's been an investigation by an external body and for which they've referred themselves.

ArabellaScott · 31/08/2024 11:32

This organisation is embedded thoroughly in public life. In the majority of Scottish schools. Supported by various other governmental bodies. Trained the police. Etc.

I think they are scared that if they admit to even the slightest doubt that there may be even the possibility of issues, the whole edifice will crumble.

Plus, anyone asking questions risks being accused of homophobia. The man quoted in Turner's article has it spot on:

“We’ve gone from ‘every gay man is a paedophile’ to ‘no gay man can possibly be a paedophile’.

We have created a sacred caste. This is exactly what safeguarding is supposed to guard against.

ArabellaScott · 31/08/2024 11:33

So - a combination of sunk costs fallacy and sacred caste.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 31/08/2024 11:37

I'm glad Janice Turner is on it. The scrutiny of a top times journalist will be invaluable.

Yes. It's time for journalists to start joining the dots. Of course there are numerous decent adults working in charities for children. But once the "sacred caste" rule is established and safeguarding children seen as "right wing bigotry" unsuitable adults are drawn to them - including LGBT groups.
So many institutions have had problems with predators, Schools, children's homes, sports clubs, the cubs & scouts. All have historically had to turn themselves inside out in order to rid themselves of predators with transparent and rigorous safeguarding protocols. It defies belief that numerous LGBT groups daily breach safeguarding principles running groups for 13 - 25 years olds, getting into schools persuading them that mixed sex mixed age changing, showers, dormitories are inclusive. Insisting that schools transition children in secret from their parents - and more. All in breach of basic safeguarding principles and in some cases legislation.
Yet all apparently free from criticism because regulators like Ofsted, the CQC, & the police & judiciary) all signed up to Stonewall etc and therefore reluctant to act (bigotry innit..)

Until these organisations are forced into adopting rigorous safeguarding measures, this will remain the tip of a very murky iceberg.

This.

And

Senior figures argued it should quietly pay the last two tranches of money in LGBTYS’s grant, rather than risk the wrath of activists by publicly defunding it.

What kind of activist 'wrath' could ever be justified?

Why would anger, rather than utter horror be the reaction?

and, almost more importantly, why the fuck would the donors even worry about it?

ArabellaScott · 31/08/2024 23:11

Reputation prioritised over victims.
