That would make sense if the offence in Scotland was also a crime in England and Wales or NI, but it isn't. We don't arrest gay Nigerians and deport them to Nigeria because the Nigerian police ask us to. And when abortion was still illegal in NI, PSNI weren't telling English police to arrest Northern Irish women who'd self-managed medical abortions with mail order pills and later come here.

This is really important. It would invalidate the rights of refugees.

I've just spied this very appropriate, excellent poem by Magi Gibson

Whilst we are on Magi, if anyone fancies maybe being in volume two of her poetry collection Unbridled, she's accepting Max five poems from each person by 31st May for consideration.

I do wonder why JKR continues to live in Scotland. If I were her I would move pretty swiftly . Scotland would lose a lot of tax in the process. Her husband works in Scotland I think but I’m sure he could relocate. It’s strange.

I think she loves Scotland. A lot of the HP books and films are partially love letters to Scotland.

Well played to JKR today. What a woman.

Karensalright · 01/04/2024 22:01

Leg shaving, am 61 hair stopped growing on my legs now arrived on my chin, maybe i am transitioning, or just an old hag

AboutYouTalk · 01/04/2024 22:02

Not sure why my post was deleted by @MNHQ. I was simply stating facts 🙄

Karensalright · 01/04/2024 22:03

Monitors are not in bed yet tsk

littlbrowndog · 01/04/2024 22:03

Surely there are more than six of them. Can they not take on surge capacity clypes and clype checkers to cope with this Brave New World of Scotland the Cheka Stasi Brave?

Runningupthecurtains · 01/04/2024 22:01

I fear I may have miss gendered you Cake. Feel free to report me, I done the crime so I should do the time.

No citizen, this is probably a job for <dramatic pause for effect> Miss Genderman!!

I think @Boiledbeetle has a picture.

AboutYouTalk · 01/04/2024 22:08

We are not allowed to say anything against hairy blokes masquerading as “women” at work. It’s a joke only it’s not funny. These men are taking the piss, they don’t even try to hide the fact they are men. Disgusting.

❤️ to the women who have shared their trauma on this thread.

There must be some science to explain this surely! Why does your head and leg hair fall out yet suddenly you could spend three hours plucking out random hairs from all over the place! Why????! Just why? It was easier and less painful to shave my legs!!

But now I've got eyebrow hairs wandering off, hairs erupting from my chin, some seriously long nose hairs and yet my legs haven't had a hair growing on them since about 2011 and I've lost half the weight of the hair on my head!

It makes no sense!

Why should she (or anyone else) leave their home?

Don't blame her.

Scotland's a lovely country and the Scots are lovely people.

We holidayed there every year and I'd have loved to have lived there before this farrago.

littlbrowndog · 01/04/2024 22:13

Bbc just said women are not protected by hate crime. That’s a move

KellieJaysLapdog · 01/04/2024 22:15

Oof. The BBC is a terf!

LarkLane · 01/04/2024 22:16

Yes, just watched it @littlbrowndog
It's a better report than earlier.

I didn't transition to an old hag @Karensalright, it's my true & authentic self that was just waiting to emerge when the time was right. Along with the chin hair.

I agree - you'd think if anything that gravity would draw the hair downwards, and we'd end up with Hobbit feet, but is seems to find little oases of calm on the eyebrows, upper lip - a few bold spikey ones daringly colonise the chin . . . meanwhile my "lady garden" looks like someone has been at it with the Round-Up and I shed more head hair every day than the cat does. (I have more whiskers, too)

I found out recently that 'car tweezers' is a thing - I thought it was just me!

Karensalright · 01/04/2024 22:22
