Can men get periods - poll on RoF

ThisAngelWearsPrada · 23/03/2024 00:06

Roll on Friday is a legal news website. They have a story about the woman being sued for harassment for her GC views.

On said story, they have a poll asking whether men get periods. Until earlier today, the vast majority said no.

This evening, it has jumped up to over 57% saying yes. Clearly the poll has been shared and as it’s easy to do numerous votes, I suspect those on the yes side are trying to manipulate the results as the number of responses is jumping up at quite a pace. So, if anyone has time, please do feel free to respond to the poll.

Of course they don’t menstruate

54% of 2.5k people think they can? Either the lizardman constant is out of control or the world is nuts...

I think it’s been manipulated. When I read the article this morning, roughly 8% said yes. Just checked tonight and it’s jumped up, and in the 5 mins I then went back to check again before posting here, it went up by a couple of percent, which suggests that there was a deliberate attack of yes votes.

I seemed to be able to vote more than once. It's probably our old pal the Bundler obsessively clicking the "men can menstruate" box.

Or maybe Keir Starmer is doing a bit of multivoting.

Not all heroes wear capes!

I am conscious it’s a random poll but it’s those random polls that sway public opinion, especially for those who don’t have a strong opinion either way so will simply follow the majority because they believe that’s what they should think.

You can vote more than one time, I voted the same each time and checked the results and each time my chosen option had increased by 0.1%

Trans activists are perpetually online and masters of botting and sock accounts. It's why they keep accusing us doing it because they have normalised it in their circles.

They may get a big vote on online polls, but the politicians who are too dumb to see what is happening is going to have a very bad time in the next elections.

Most people aren't perpetually online. Most people don't have sock accounts or know how to bot. But everyone can only vote once.

Looking healthier (but why are there two different numbers for responses?!!)

I pressed submit a couple of times without selecting an answer. I suspect that gets recorded as a response.

Actually, on that poll you can vote more than once!

There are some great comments. For example

If anyone is still in any doubt about who is creating a hostile environment for whom, this case should help you work it out.The SEEN network was created because civil servants who believe in the importance, immutability and binary nature of biological sex (a protected belief under the Equality Act, per the Forstater judgment) felt that they were at serious risk of discrimination in the civil service, which is Stonewalled up to its eyeballs. It is not enough for the LGBTQ "community" (in inverted commas because not all individuals supposedly in this group are in agreement on these issues) to have their own support and representation. They feel the need to ensure that those with whom they disagree are unsupported and unrepresented.Just like it is not enough for LGBTQ people to have their own rape crisis support; it is necessary to ensure that female rape survivors cannot have their own single sex support from which biologically male people are excluded. And it is not enough for LGBTQ people to have toilets and changing rooms they can safely use; it is necessary to ensure that women cannot have single sex facilities from which biologically male people are excluded no matter how legitimate their reasons for wanting this. And it is not enough for LGBTQ people to have - at last count - over 300 charities and lobby groups representing them (in the UK alone). LGB people must not be allowed to have even one charity representing only people who are same sex attracted. (Mermaids v Charity Commission and LGB Alliance.)Can you see it yet?

Meh. this just brings online polls into disrepute. Essentially, "my bot is stronger than your bot" is what's going on here...

Emotionalsupportviper · 23/03/2024 08:45

Now at 72% of 5,059 responses are saying "No" *. which is encouraging.

*Or more probably "God, NO! Who even thinks of these things?"

It’s all in how you define the terms ‘men’ and ‘period’.

Can a person with a male body shed their uterine lining?

Can a person with a male body who identifies as a woman and takes cross sex hormones attribute some experiences (mood swings and food cravings) to a monthly hormonal cycle?

Can a person with a female body who identifies as a male shed their uterine lining?

I shared this poll on another thread yesterday morning (the one about the head of Seen being sued). Now wondering if I inadvertently brought it to the attention of the men who have periods...

Anyway, I've voted (again) this morning.

Agree the comments are largely brilliant under the article.

There is never a point to polls, the activist lobby have no ethics or capacity to tolerate the existence of unwanted evidence. You might as well brigade a poll to state that the HoC is currently being held hostage by a large daffodil armed with attack kittens.

Wouldn't make it true or representative of anything useful.
