I just cant get my head around this. Given the thousands who attend football matches, there must be many who express really racist and sexist ideas online. And yet out of those many thousands, the Premiere League has decided a priority is to investigate, condemn and then ban a woman who believes in the biological reality of sex!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent news.

I watched that interview. I never liked Toby Young and thought him a twat, but hats off to him now. That poor woman. And the fucking men who did this to her and who loved putting her in her place. Taking away an important part of her life and her identity. Denying her the social contact of being in a stadium of people sharing passion for their team. Following her around and taking photos of her. Making her scared. For what?! This is so much more than gender woo. This is more than misogyny. I’m not sure what it is. Something akin to Handmaids Tale, but I am getting to hate men.

I know what you mean about previously thinking Toby was a twat. I’ve realised that a lot of people that, in the past, I would have labelled as irritating contrarians (e.g.Claire Fox or Brendan O’Neill or Konstantin Kisin or even Jordan Peterson) seem to perform useful functions in society during times of mass groupthink and overreach - they speak against the consensus and challenge authority.

So I’m really glad Linzi has the support of Toby and the FSU - she should never have had her life investigated or been treated so shabbily by either the Premier League or NUFC.

I'm fairly sure there are a proportion of men who'd prefer all women to be treated exactly as women were treated in the 17th century.

If this is the case I'm thinking of, she didn't just "express gender critical views".

She called trans people paedophiles, "noncey nonces" (IIRC), freaks, and perverts.

She's outright transphobic, she's not GC.

Are you sure you are thinking of this woman? If so do you have some evidence of her transphobic views as I don't believe I've seen what you are saying she's posted or said in anything about this case.

I couldn't find all the tweets I recall from a couple of months back (I presume she's had a good clear out) but someone else had screenshot these ones.

We are having to give up our spaces to these men though. Not every man who uses women's spaces is a peadophile but every man who uses women's spaces is no respecter of women or boundaries so therefore is not 'nice' in any way. So I guess I'll be banned now

In the comments you posted, Cazpar, Linzi’s not calling trans people paedophiles etc. Since gender self-ID gives all men (whether they genuinely think they’re women or not) access to women’s changing rooms etc, it obviously lets paedophiles and perverts in. She says all her trans friends are sick of this too.

Not sure what those screen shots have to do with the allegations made up thread. There are many women on here who post comments that might seem to be a bit "strong".

And judging by today's tweets someone is like Cazpar is trying to insinuate Linzi has made extreme comments.

But as she has said can they provide evidence of them, and if not they will be sued, and within a few moments the twitter accounts disappear this just seems to be one of those virtual word smear campaigns not based on an actual fact.

It's quite clear this is not someone merely stating "I don't believe trans women are women and I believe sex is real" etc.

That tweet seems to be referring to trans folk who aren’t “noncy nonces” etc. separately (“all my trans friends”).

It seems to have been taken from a thread about a situation of set of people claiming to be trans. Reading it I assume it’s part of a complaint about trans status being able to be used by bad actors (who may or may not actually be trans) to access women only spaces rather than a claim that all trans women are bad actors.

Again, those tweets are about the force teeming of all manner of fetishes with the LGB cause. Something that a lot of LGB people have had issues with since things like puppy play and BDSM has been welcomed into the fold.

The language is coarser than you generally find on mumsnet. But having grown up working class and spent a fair amount of time serving football fans, I would say it’s fairly common within large parts of that culture.

I have an ignorant relative who is a racist and a lifelong football fan who follows his team everywhere. He posts obvious racists memes and comments as do his mates and he even recently told me all immigrants are pedophiles when I tried to put an opposing view yet he has never been the subject of a ban or investigation.
