I find it extremely understandable that teenagers can be told something is hateful and believe it without wanting to look more into it. I was certainly like that as a teenager.

What I don't find understandable is adults being so unremittingly foolish.

I sent two news stories, one about her rape crisis centre and one about her help to female lawyers/ judges from Afghanistan. Got no reaction to either news story but she's still online telling anyone who will listen that JK Rowling is the devil incarnate...

It really does. What KM has done (as every TRA likes to do) is conflate the confusion of a minority of people with DSD with trans people. But KM does not have DSD so it's completely irrelevant. In this case it's very simple - KM has a male body and male biology. Sex is real.

Just because a tiny section of society has decided that 'woman' no longer means what literally everyone has always known it meant since humans have existed, and have decided it now means 'anyone who fancies being a woman', or claim that the fact that a tiny proportion of people are born with DSDs makes it 'complicated' to know who is male or female, that doesn't mean the rest of the world has to abandon all reason and agree with them.

Well, to be fair, a transwoman does have different biology to a biological woman (ditto a transman/biological man)!

Not really, it's a lightweight article in a lightweight rag, written by 17 year olds, rehashing old bullshit, with nothing to support the assertions.

I'm not even sure they're lying as such. I think what they're saying is untrue and laughably dim but I think they have gone so far past the point that they saying what they actually believe.

As I have said upthread, antisemitism isn't always about things someone has said, it can also be when someone chooses to remain silent - which is what Corbyn did numerous times when Jewish members of the Labour party complained of antisemitisim.

It's terrifying. But it's so beyond normal and possible that I don't believe it's a story they invented to deceive other people - if they were inventing this stuff, I think they'd probably try and keep it even marginally plausible. I think it's a direct product of whatever they need to believe.
