Isla Bryson asked for £5,000 over 'deadnaming'

BT apparently misgendered Isla, and she went to the papers about it:

'She said: “I have been asking them to change my name for almost a year but I keep getting letters with my dead name on it.

“I sent proof of my gender identity but it hasn’t made a difference. I’m sick of being treated like a second class citizen.”

BT apologised for the mix-up and offered Bryson £140. But she said: “It’s had a seriously emotional effect on me. They’ve tried to buy me off but I said I wanted £5,000 in compensation.”'

Oooooh I like this, Sky have been sending letters to MR TitsInAbsentia for about 12 years, I never have been, never wanted to be and never will be a MR so I must take offence at this mis labelling and being action immediately!

Just a couple of weeks ago I had a phone call with an agent. The call was followed by an email (from the same person). He addressed me by a clearly male name even though he had just spoken to me on the phone and my voice is clearly female

Oh yeah forgot that one, which I've also had. Bumping my claim up now.

Can i sue Scottish Power for constantly addressing me as my name and a random person who has never lived here's name? For years it's been dear ms unamed cat and Mr random name I emailed called tweeted gave up they say its OK because the BILLS are solely in my name ok? so? STOP SENDING ME LETTERS IN SOMEONE ELSES NAME
