Despite the controversy surrounding the author, Hogwarts Legacy game was the top-selling title on PC distribution platform Steam on Monday and Tuesday, ahead of other high-profile releases such as "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II" and "Destiny 2".

It was also the best-selling title in the PlayStation Store's "coming soon" category this week, ahead of other much-anticipated games such as "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor" and "Dead Space."

The fan fervour around the game, due to be released on February 10th, has not stopped trans activists and supporters from trying to derail its launch, with some adding ‘transphobic’ tags to the game’s page on Steam, though these were quickly deleted. ...

On its FAQ page about the game, publishing company Warner Bros.Games said it was "not a new story" from her.

It added: "J.K. Rowling is not directly involved in the creation of the game, however, her extraordinary body of writing is the foundation of all projects in the Wizarding World."

Yes. It's built into the ideology. It is unavoidable that this should be the case because the fundamental premise of the ideology is something that cannot be observed as truth by oneself, only asserted to be "truth" by another.

The fundamental belief is that a person apparently of one sex is actually of the other sex because the marker is not the physical body but an invisible, undefinable, self declared "sameness".

To accept that you have to firstly accept a thing you cannot perceive based on someone else's assertion this is reality, and secondly accept that what you yourself can directly perceive is wrong.

Once you accept that, you are adrift from observable reality. You can’t form your own conclusions based on your own observations or your own logic because you don't have any knowable and observable facts you can base it on. You can only parrot what the "trusted authorities" of this knowledge tell you is the truth.

That's not what I said, I said he got banned from the app for trolling. I don't know if he directly contacted any transwomen on the app to bully them but it's clear his point was hatred and to take the piss out of transpeople. Hence why the app banned him and felt the need to speak up in support of transwomen and assure them they are welcome on the app.
