Police getting their knickers in a twist over this because of all the critique free diversity training and rampant pronouning no doubt.
At least they didn't write female though, probably would have if the public weren't calling them out. They forget, the police are the public aren't the public aren't largely ideologically captured.
To me, the protection of male offenders from hurt feelings is another proof of sexism in the police. These aren't our crimes and you gaslight women when you use this language.
