Seems a woman was arrested for asking a man to leave the women's toilets in Cardiff? Dr Em seems to be involved too?

Doesn't seem to be at FiLiA, but maybe afterwards in the town?

I've just been reading about this.

I believe Cardiff Police merely had a word with only one of the two men discussing burning down the FILIA venue and have just accepted a 'hate crime' report from the same man despite there being neither hate nor crime in the view of any reasonable person - this man is blatantly threatening and harassing women and is not only getting away with it but merrily using the police as his tool. Yet now they've arrested 2 women for requesting a man leave the women's toilets. I wonder if we'll ever know who the man was?

I know people object to a 'nanny state' but a clear statement has to be made that sex segregation is normal and women have every right to expect it.

@KatMcBundleFace Realfeminist is taking the piss out of the way Nicola Sturgeon has approached the discussion about women's rights. Nicola described herself as a 'real feminist' and described the concerns of the women of Scotland as 'not valid'.

I do so very much admire these women who are prepared to stand their ground and be arrested and take on all this scary, awful shit so that it is possible for all females to very clearly evidence, and pursue with MPs, police, courts and the general public:

• A male was in a female only space
• A female challenged him
• The female was arrested for offending the male
• The male used lies in order to achieve their aim of oppressing and controlling the females in the space
• The police happily enabled the male

I may take a leaf out of Nic's book and START SCREAMING SHORTLY BECAUSE THIS IS FUCKED UP BEYOND ALL REASON.

I hadn't actually been aware of the reason for the all caps - I assumed it was a take off of how Sturgeon talks but @Hoardasurass explains the reason above.

Apparently they were arrested for refusing to apologise to someone male in a single sex space.

The female would not apologise to the male in a female space.

As my aged DM said to me this morning reading about 'played the piano with her penis' - stop the planet, I want to get off.

So they take the word of one man against two women whose statements back each other up. Even sharia law allows two women's evidence to equal one man's.
