She is absolutely blistering on the Mermaids/paedophile apologist scandal and I loved her response to India Willoghby’s assertion that someone needs to take her to court.

Im not on Twitter but have read her tweets and seen reports on FairPlay for Women, WPUK and they have posted links to articles in The Telegraph etc.

She is feminist to her bones and I both admire her and am grateful to her.

The Ink Black Heart is also awesome and for anyone who hasn’t yet read any of the Strike series I’d highly recommend it!

Agreed. In the midst of all this sewage, she reminds me that most people are decent and that we can push back against this intolerable assault on women and children's rights and safety.

I think that part of what makes her so special* is that she manages to be so ordinary (in the good sense!) and so extra-ordinary simultaneously, all the time.

*aside from creating the Harry Potter Series, which has to go down as one of the most impressive artistic (let alone literary) acheivements of the lat 50 years

Last night someone who was using a Tala the alien avatar+name received a threatening message with their address along with a pedo accusation, a bomb threat and the words "stop talking shit about JK Rowling". All the account had been used for was to call out JK Rowling on trans matters.

Did kiwifarms organise this?

I'm not sure if it would be appropriate but I can post the screenshot which contains the threat with the address redacted.

It goes without saying that a threat of violence like that should be reported to the police and the social media site used. Unacceptable behaviour, whoever did it, and for whatever reason.

The KF thread makes it clear a lot of users here also use KF. I get the impression from that thread the aim of KF is to dox people who are considered to be predators by the KF users? They see themselves as some sort of "vigilante" community?

Moving on, yes, JKR is wonderful.

She really is. And yes to whoever said she is both ordinary and extraordinary simultaneously. That is her appeal. She's been on her beam ends and is the survivor of domestic abuse. She gets it.

And she doesn't just sit on her arse reaping the rewards of her spectacular career, either.

She could so easily have ignored this issue, but it obviously strikes a massive chord with her. She sees the danger to children.

@MargaritaPie the person receiving the threat should report it to the Police and the relevant social media site, let them do the investigation instead of you speculating and throwing accusations around as to where the guilt lies. That's the sensible option don't you agree or are you just going to continue with unsubstantiated accusations because that is what you think/believe?

Perhaps the relevant Police and social media site will do as much as they did/have done about all the threats received by JKR and others.
