She has just tweeted that she is appealing the decision to dismiss her claim against Stonewall in her recent case.

No news on if a garden is needed to be seeded though!

Yeah, that's about the size of it.

Madcats · 29/06/2023 16:44

Tipping - that was my reading of the 'transcript':
BC: ......A broad brush is reasonable, but this is completely opaque as a costs application. And what is the basis of their costs?
EJ - it was so opaque it makes me wonder it they have a computerised billing system.

GCC were appearing to be relying on the comparative number of pages of Tribunal Tweets for each contested point that was dismissed to apportion their costs/claim.

Tippingadvice · 29/06/2023 16:57

@Madcats thats what I thought but didn’t think it could be credible to count TT pages. So basically GCC didn’t capture time spent on their case.

lanadelgrey · 29/06/2023 17:29

Which suggests they were too hung up on their moral righteousness to behave professionally (yet again?)

Absolutely. The cheek. Even if they have no respect for Allison Bailey, they ought to have respect for the court.

Jeez. It's 'dog ate homework' territory. If true I hope GCC will be paying TT for their hard work.

GCC come across as incredibly amateur about everything. Was AB the only competent and professional person there?

If I had oodles of money and legal cases to bring I don't think my wish list would be smug, self righteous, discriminatory, terrible at basic tasks and administration, incapable of calculating costs without recourse to Twitter, unwilling to ever admit fault.

If this is the standard perhaps I can see why BC can charge so much!

wantmorenow · 29/06/2023 18:48

Can anyone share the details I need to request access to tribunal tomorrow please?

Because I think through various possible scenarios when I’m giving to something like this to sanity check I’d be happy with how my money is being used

I think tomorrow is just the panel making their decision.

Tippingadvice · 29/06/2023 19:57

@TrainedByCats I agree. I always assumed Allison would need all the money and more. If she does get any of the donated funds back I trust her integrity to do what is best with the money.

IWillNoLie · 29/06/2023 21:22

Not followed today, just reading here. Did GCC really try to base their costs on Tribunal Tweets???

I had to go to twitter to double check. it appears that yes, yes they did

astonishing

That seems to have been a recurrent feature.

@Tippingadvice thank you

Seriously???

I mean, seriously?????

There really are making shit up as they go along. It really is amateur hour over there.

TT as a billing system? If so, TT need to start charging them.

IcakethereforeIam · 30/06/2023 00:02

What would they have done if TT had been refused permission to tweet?

Particularly given that, AFAIK, Tribunal Tweets are done by civic minded volunteers.

Boiledbeetlelovesbeautifullybindedbundles · 30/06/2023 00:19

Just catching up. Nice to see GCC have remained incompetent to the bitter end!

Redshoeblueshoe · 30/06/2023 07:53

That would be absolutely hilarious if TT billed GCC

lanadelgrey · 30/06/2023 09:05

Yes. If the one TT I met is anything to go by - retired secretary from generation where ‘nice’ girls were encouraged to divert their brains away from university and towards shorthand and speed typing - then I’d be absolutely furious as I’d be comparing hourly rate for my skills against the amounts the GCC lot get

Ameanstreakamilewide · 30/06/2023 10:30

Is anyone in?

SidewaysOtter · 30/06/2023 10:49

I thought today was deliberations for the tribunal panel rather than a public hearing?

Ameanstreakamilewide · 30/06/2023 10:55

That'll be why i can't get in. Thank you.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 30/06/2023 11:12

Like Allison was such an annoyance to the lofty 'Do Right. Fear No One' Chambers - so they could be as disrespectful as they liked.

Is that really their motto? Cringe.
(I realise it's a quotation but - still - cringe).

Ameanstreakamilewide · 30/06/2023 11:14

Yep, that's really their motto. 😉

We know the superiority complex a lot of Allison's colleagues had, so it's not that surprising to me.
