They've scrapped the role

Rather than appoint a woman they're just scrapping it

Does Nadim know what a woman is, at least?

Thankfully yes.

I knew someone would come back with a good joke. Thank you!

It looks like the height of male petulance.
Appoint male to mansplain to women and girls, experiences that only women and girls can have.
Women point out the basic problem with this mansplaining approach.
The employing authorities react by deleting the whole thing; the equivalent of primary playground, "it's my football, and if you won't be nice to me, I'm taking my ball away completely, so there."

Fucking hell, male entitlement.

At least he didn't 'identify as'

"At least he didn't 'identify as'"

True! Small mercies?!

Yalz · 13/09/2022 00:24

Apologies that this is The Scottish Sun, but it’s interesting background if what “the whistleblower” says is true.

The plot thickens, eh! No wonder they don't want to release the information about his hiring

RhannionKPSS · 13/09/2022 01:04

The whole thing is stinks

We consider that some of the information you have requested, relating to numbers of applicants and interviewees is exempt from disclosure under Section 38 (1) (b) of FOISA, due to the low numbers involved

I wonder if that low number was one!

Not aimed at anybody but I needed the quote.

How many do they need to consider it low? Theres a huge difference between two applicants and twenty, both of which could be considered a small pool by most people. However public bodies might think 50 is low.

So how low is low?

Ha. It was only a matter of time before someone started spilling the beans.

None Sun link to the story from the whistleblower

Katie Baxter is not coming out of this well

ImNotAnExpert · 13/09/2022 09:16

The whole thing continues to stink.

SamphirethePogoingStickerist · 13/09/2022 09:34

I was just coming over to post that! I had heard it before but couldn't offer any proof. I may have alluded to it in another thread here - I have posted a few times about how the job was not advertised properly.

I know of one of the women who had the role last year. As in 3 or 4 times removed via our contact network, not personally.

JacquelinePot · 13/09/2022 09:58

It's worth posting new updates separately, for views, and linking to previous threads. This is definitely newsworthy!

FannyCann · 13/02/2023 08:13

Jason has broken cover!

He is pursuing his sex discrimination case and the first round of the legal battle has commenced.

My guess is the college will settle out of court as otherwise the whole appointment process will surely be made public, which I would very much enjoy seeing.

Although it's possible that a certain fan of Jason will be made a scape goat.

🍿 and loads of it all round! 🍿

Period dignity officer update
FrancescaContini · 13/02/2023 08:19

I’m aghast at the phrase “period dignity” and trebly aghast at the idea of a MAN talking to me about it.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/02/2023 08:21

I don't particularly like Jason, but I agree he has a reasonable sex discrimination case.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/02/2023 08:22

And yes, all the 🍿

FannyCann · 13/02/2023 08:23

Alas poor Jason - he doesn't appear quite so chipper as before - the stress must be getting to him.

Isn't there a wellbeing officer who can advise?

ZeldaFighter · 13/02/2023 08:24

So was the whole thing a scam to set up a sex discrimination claim? Inside job?

FrancescaContini · 13/02/2023 08:24

I’ve never had 🍿 on MN before but may get some and settle in for this “story”.
