We aren't even in the same fecking (phylogenetic) kingdom as avocados.

The first book my DD chose to bring home from school was 'the life cycle of the snail'. Hermaphrodite sex, yippee.
Yet somehow she never got confused about the fact that humans, dogs, cats.... all mammals ... are males or females.
Understanding that other types of organism are different doesn't require a PhD in biology, a small child can understand it. Other organisms are interesting but they are nothing to do with 'gender fluidity' in humans. A Pips Bunce doesn't swap from male to female.

And there's still only two sexes. The avocado is male or female. The snail is male and female. No extra intermediate sexes.

I'm convinced.
Avocados can also photosynthesise so am going to sit out in the back garden for a bit and see if I can make some sugar.

Sex in avocados, and clownfish is still binary. They change from one to the other there is no intermediate sex.

Sex in humans is exactly as binary as we think it is.

Why not compare human beings to cuttlefish instead of clownfish? The Beta male adopts female colouring and behaviour to gain access to the female only area, then when the Alpha males are looking elsewhere, the Beta male has sex with a female. As for avocados, they don't have sex
