For anyone looking for a hilarious, informative and warming experience at the Fringe, I have high expectations of Elaine's show. I mean, I haven't seen it, but I am sure it will be brilliant!

Elaine certainly doesn't shy away from the obvious puns or word-play. I've seen her 'in conversation' a couple of times and she's genuinely funny and informative. Isn't she MN's own @GussieGrips ?

PearlClutch · 25/07/2022 17:13

Oooh, I don't know! waves excitedly!

I’m a big fan of Elaine. I have seen her perform and speak at events. Absolutely brilliant and very funny and also very safe too. Go and enjoy.

Bobnotpop · 25/07/2022 17:18

I was just thinking of her today while doing pelvic floor exercises in the queue at Tesco, she’s brilliant.

She had a chat with Glinner - here - grahamlinehan.substack.com/p/the-brilliant-elaine-miller

I agree - she is great

daringdoris · 25/07/2022 18:13

I'm half way through watching this:

which I'm really enjoying. You really do go from laughing to crying to laughing again. She's great.

WellThatsMeScrewed · 25/07/2022 21:05

I love the sound of her voice!

Super intelligent, empathetic and interesting.

Yep, whenever I think of her I certainly do pelvic floors.

She is, but she said she lost her name in the hacking a few years ago.

I saw this show last year when it was a condo friendly walking tour, it was great.

she says she is “sex factual”, so am going back with some “nearly peaked” colleagues, we have a weekend af the fringe and I am packing it with as much femnist shows as I can!

hagelslaagfiend · 25/07/2022 22:05

I have tickets! Very excited about it.

Cismyfatarse · 25/07/2022 22:52

Thing on Twitter to try and get her on Woman's Hour because it is Listeners' week and she is hilarious.

EsmaCannonball · 25/07/2022 22:52

I hadn't heard of her before but I've just watched that speech and she is brilliant. She should be on television. The information about transgenderism and dementia was fascinating and something I hadn't considered before. What a shame someone so funny and knowledgeable and so genuinely helpful with women's health issues would probably be seen as too controversial to platform by the mainstream media.

Imevery · 26/07/2022 01:40

That speech is brilliant - thank you.

CousinKrispy · 26/07/2022 04:22

This is wonderful, thank you!

EdinburghFeminist · 26/07/2022 12:35

I've got tickets and I'm very excited!

NonnyMouse1337 · 26/07/2022 13:11

I've got a ticket too. 😁 Looking forward to it.

She was on TV, I remember her getting Eamonn Holmes doing pelvic floor exercises on This Morning. Even that was hilarious. I'd love to see her if she goes on tour.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 29/07/2022 15:27

I remember that! There was a disabled dog too!

I’ve got tickets for the second Saturday. How will we recognise each other?**

stealtheatingtunnocks · 30/07/2022 09:04

my friend said she wanted to do a trans show for every feminist show, and suggests a trans comedian called Jen Ives.

Jen disrupted the launch of the LGBA.

Jen’s show is on at the same time as Elaine in the same venue. Maybe that is a stunt? Feminists and trans allies in a bar together. Glad I’ve got tickets for both shows, gives my chance of seeing a bonus drama.

Does anyone have her Twitter handle?

Her website with all her social media including Twitter.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 01/08/2022 01:23

well. I am not sure what this is all about but I am also not sure if it is comedy.

I’ve got to sit through an hour of this to get my fried to come to Elain’s. It’s not a fair exchange.

I went last night and it was brilliant! So funny! And, she really goes for it and nails her colours to the mast, she is an absolute hero.

NonnyMouse1337 · 05/08/2022 08:03

I'm going tonight. I can't wait! 😄
