For anyone looking for a hilarious, informative and warming experience at the Fringe, I have high expectations of Elaine's show. I mean, I haven't seen it, but I am sure it will be brilliant!

I saw EM last night talking to a manager. There was a sticker on a Jen Ives poster. the two audiences are probably opposites.

What is weird is that there are no posters or flyers for EM anywhere. I want an origami fanny flyer!

Elaine is brilliant, she got a standing ovation the night we were there.
Not sure if there are many “ feminist “ shows on at the Fringe this year.

Saw her tonight…great entertaining but thought provoking show.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 09/08/2022 01:13

Me too, @Nothingfallingdowntoday

im really troubled by how bad womens health is! She had a neatly full house and I laughed far more than I expected to. the end was startling.

Jen Ives fomorrow.

I went to the show. Loved it! She's so witty but it was also really informative and I thought she handled The Issue very deftly.

Go go go!

@stealtheatingtunnocks

laughing at your user name in context of last night!

was it you who squished the tea cake?

stealtheatingtunnocks · 10/08/2022 09:47

im afraid I would only eat teacakes.

WandaWomblesaurus · 10/08/2022 22:27

Bumping as this needs to be seen far and wide! She's brilliant.

Here she is if you don't know who she is!

WandaWomblesaurus · 10/08/2022 22:30

Oops meant to post this link - someone had already posted the other one!

RhannionKPSS · 11/08/2022 00:57

Please can you leave your reviews for Elanie on the page for her show if you have time, it’s important for many reasons...

tricervixtops · 11/08/2022 18:04

What a great show this is, highly recommend to anyone who is going to be in Edinburgh for the Fringe this year. Honest and accessible information about female bodies, what happens when you pee, when you have sex and when you reach menopause. Very informative and also hilarious. The world needs more Elaine Millers.

Cismyfatarse · 11/08/2022 20:01

Absolutely dazzling show. And so funny. Can everyone review it?

RhannionKPSS · 11/08/2022 20:06

I think you have to register on the Fringe website to leave a review. She is also on Facebook

I went to see Jen Ives show. Jen was funnier than I expected but the thing is written around Graham linehan. It was ok but Jen was mostly venting rather than pulling jokes together. I’m not sure that Jen would say any of that in front of GL. The audience was polite but Jen didn’t manage to get them to gel, maybe they didn’t know who GL is? I was surprised though Jen is a full time comedian so should have been able to pull a crowd together

I heard at the venue (in toilets that are now not mixed sex, how did that happen?) two women talking about Elaine’s saying she is being harassed. I suppose that is what happens if you speak up now.

Good to see there was some value for money for your ticket.

two women talking about Elaine’s saying she is being harassed.

It's deplorable. Is the harassment around biological facts and the perceptions of that? Harassment is deplorable and there still feels to be an additional sting where it's for something that's longer acceptance than gravity and such.

RhannionKPSS · 17/08/2022 11:25

The toilets were single sex at the start of the festival, then about 4 days later , the women’s toilets had “ non- gender” sign & the men’s became “ cubicles & urinals”
As you can imagine a lot of women who use the venue were not impressed, so many made their feelings known and now the women sign is back up & the men’s is the same.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 18/08/2022 14:22

Hope she’s ok
