Is there any way we can get hold of Premier Foods staff toilet policy?

Butteryflakycrust83 · 20/06/2022 16:54

Do you not think thats going a trifle too far?

Do I need to know where everyone has a wee before I purchase anything anymore?

Deliriumoftheendless · 20/06/2022 17:17

A trifle is definitely not a cake.

nauticant · 20/06/2022 17:22

The trifles our Mam made contained sliced up Swiss Roll. So those trifles did actually have an internal essence of cake.

and you probably had a gender neutral toilet in the house

Butteryflakycrust83 · 20/06/2022 17:40

LOL!

PaddleBoardingMomma · 20/06/2022 17:45

Ah you've missed the mark here I think op.

Let's just take a minute to remember we aren't anti trans, we aren't anti trans inclusivity, we aren't against trans awareness... it's when it begins to encroach on womens spaces and rights that we get upset... remember? Let's not make ourselves look like bigots.

Unless they are covering the packaging in trans flag colours, excluding women from the work place, insisting on "gender neutral" bathrooms or telling us trans cakes are women, I think we're good to let this one slide.

onionandcheese · 20/06/2022 18:24

Unless they are covering the packaging in trans flag colours

They do these for LGBT+ awareness 😒

Are they specifically for pride or funds towards LGBT? I have seen these for years, my daughter has one on occasion and I've never believed it to be anything other than advertising towards kids who are unicorn mad? The colours aren't right for the pride flag? And besides, I'll always be ok with our LGB friends 💪🏻

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 20/06/2022 18:45

The article seems to be mostly about respecting women's biological needs, but with an inflammatory headline.

Is this what you object to?

The company will also now provide uncapped, paid time off for staff going through the menopause or gender reassignment surgery, The Telegraph reported last night.

I have absolutely zero problem with a company doing that for anyone having surgery. Gender reassignment and sex are both protected characteristics, and I'm happy to see a business respecting both.

The offspring love those. There is nothing on there raising awareness of anything except the existence of sugar.

They're just unicorns with exciting eye-catching manes and tails.

These aren't anything to do with LGBT+ though are they? Aren't they just colourful cakes 17 year old DS loves them

@atime2dance I'm not really sure what we are meant to be complaining about tbh. Can you clarify?

onionandcheese · 20/06/2022 18:52

The trans unicorn is a thing unfortunately, also see The Gender Unicorn which got sent to primary schools.

It's all part of the indoctrination.

They're really just colourful cakes. Goods that are actually LGBT promotions are very clear about it!

Well that particular unicorn is a pile of crap but I'm still not convinced about the cakes 🤣

If there were people well-organised enough to have a conspiracy involving unicorns, they'd be well-organised enough to put Pride colours on the unicorns.

Take a day off, honestly.
They're just unicorns, designed to make you... buy cake.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 20/06/2022 19:19

The trans unicorn is a thing unfortunately,

Because they want to market their movement to children, and kids like unicorns. See also mermaids and glitter.

but Not All Unicorns.

Musomama1 · 20/06/2022 19:40

Ooh I could really do with a French Fancy, or 6.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 20/06/2022 20:08

I bought a pack of six bakewell slices today. [smug]

See, I used to love them. But recently they seem to just taste of nothing at all - a sort of sickly, homeopathic almond memory lingers in them, but that's it. Is it just me? Is it some kind of post-covid Kipling consequence?!

Nope, they are tasteless

Those just look like cakes targeted at people-- girl, boy, whatever, who like unicorns.

Yes , seriously, take the day off.

Stealhsquirrelnutkin · 20/06/2022 22:36

Damn, I was hoping they'd done something horrible so that I could boycott their overly seductive French Fancies. There's something about that combination of fat and sugar that is strangely alluring. My brain knows they are just over processed empty calories, but there's something about that little blob of "cream" on top of the square of cake, hidden away under the fondant roof that calls to me like a siren singing.

Sadly, like everyone else so far, I can't find anything objectionable in them being considerate to their employees. Buggrit.

I'll just have to keep on avoiding the prepackaged cake aisle and not looking at the special offers they use to lure me away from the one true path.
