Love the John Lennon comment!

Hoardasurass · 30/05/2022 08:07

Me too

FOJN · 30/05/2022 08:38

I'm wearing my angry head today and it just makes me fucking furious that state funded institutions can make policy which ignores the law and harms women and we need a fucking report before we decide something must be done.

How about if we tell the people ignoring the law there will be consequences and if complying with the law is unacceptable to them they can have a P45 and fuck the fuck off.

So it has risen to 60% of males who claim they are trans being in prison for sex related crimes 87/146=59.6%

It was 50%.

Crikey.

MagnoliaTaint · 30/05/2022 09:38

Can't see why a link to the study was removed.

This is the website, it's the first news item: policyexchange.org.uk/

MagnoliaTaint · 30/05/2022 09:43

Hm. Must be auto-hidden.

That's as expected, isn't it? The more it's seen as an option, the more will choose to ID into women's prisons.

Oh I know, my issue is that nobody in charge seems to have noticed!

Artichokeleaves · 30/05/2022 12:55

I hear the frustration. We've been pointing this out for bloody years, writing letters, sharing articles, raising awareness, screaming into the void of flat out gaslighting and ignoring 'no there's no conflict with women's rights, it's all in your head, you're just prejudiced'.

So yes, it's bloody galling that finally, finally it's starting to be recognised that "ooh look, wee bit of a huge great fucking problem for women here that possibly we should have picked up on about eight fucking years ago if we had half a braincell between the lot of us, and weren't so misogynist we dismiss anything female as unimportant on sight and can't hear them even when they're waving evidence at us and resorting to putting bloody stickers up trying to be heard".

But I suppose at least finally it's sinking in.

If women on Mumnsnet hadn't done that, hadn't taken the risks, spent their gardening resources and given up their private relaxation time and sacrificed even more at work and elsewhere and then received horrible threats and attempts at cancellations, this would not yet be happening.

So accept my praise and gratitude you brave and stunning women (!). I was hoeing my row elsewhere for quite a long time, but I am in awe of the level of courage, intelligence, and warmth I see here.

PissedOffAmericanWoman · 16/11/2022 23:19

Imagine that!

FemaleAndLearning · 16/11/2022 23:45

I've not finished this yet but the first 10 mins or so are very enlightening. The playbook said to go for prisons first, if we. An get men in women's prisons we can get them in everywhere.
I felt bad and that Martin Luther King comes to mind...First they came..

Who cares about women prisoners they are in prison it is their fault, but no they were the fodder, the springboard. I felt really guilty until I realised that most of us would never knew about. Men have been in women's prisons since the 1980s! Talk about the long game!

Here is link, it may be at my book mark so you will gave to start it from beginning.

Ramblingnamechanger · 17/11/2022 00:07

Will anyone in the justice system take notice? How many more rapes will it take ? How much misallocation of resources? how many more males getting special treatment? We should be out on the streets every day until this whole awful mess is shut down

FemaleAndLearning · 17/11/2022 22:30

Melroses · 17/11/2022 23:23
