So much for starting early. Still wasting time talking about the bundle.

Have a look at the Translation Document in the chat. So much for the bundle being easy to navigate and any mismatch being cured simply by moving on 8 pages or whatever it was. It is such an nightmare it's actually funny.

ickky · 04/05/2022 09:49

It is a joke, wasted 15 minutes discussing it today already. I tried to follow, but it is very difficult, by the time you find it, they have moved on.

The bundle won't open today. This isn't transparent, is it?

SpindleInTheWind · 04/05/2022 09:51

Oh gawd, I hope MN isn't going to have that multiple-posting glitch all day. I see it's already got me and Tabby.

PurpleDrain · 04/05/2022 09:52

The clerk instructed anyone who wasn’t speaking to mute themselves, why hasn’t everyone done this?
even the judge should be muted, it’s so distracting when she’s rustling papers.

nauticant · 04/05/2022 10:05

An appearance of the rare James Murdoch defence by Mr Lue: although I did receive the email, I forwarded it on without reading it.

Rightsraptor · 04/05/2022 10:06

Discussing SW's instructions to delete 'mother' from maternity Garden Courts (?) policy.

JulesRimetStillGleaming · 04/05/2022 10:08

How is this guy a barrister?

Is he ND? I am so no judgment but this writing of things down is .... different.

User237845 · 04/05/2022 10:08

"I can't remember;" "I don't recall;" "I don't understand it." The Nicola Sturgeon line of defence.

tabbycatstripy · 04/05/2022 10:08

Mr Lue finds all these questions very complex and he really didn't understand 'sex-based rights' or 'gender critical feminism' or any of the concerns of gender critical feminists at the time of signing up to SW. He really doesn't know anything.

Aye, right.

Rightsraptor · 04/05/2022 10:08

Complex question, my arse. Stephen Lue is a barrister, he can deal with 'complex'.

Datun · 04/05/2022 10:10

I hope they discuss gender critical views a bit deeper. Men may not think rapists belong in women's prisons, or men in women's sports, that's not the entirety of what a gender critical view is.

It's not just that sex is immutable. It's critical of gender stereotyping.

If hordes of men were as critical of it as feminist women, it wouldn't be happening nearly as much as it does.

ickky · 04/05/2022 10:10

Why is Mr Lue wasting so much time, writing down questions etc It is the equivalent of pigeon steps.

OP posts:
tabbycatstripy · 04/05/2022 10:11

The less evidence is heard the harder it is for AB to prove anything.

nauticant · 04/05/2022 10:12

Mr Lue's assertion is that he was simply a post box for Stonewall and GCC to use to deliver documents to each other and he didn't apply any thinking to anything that passed through his hands.

NoImAVeronica · 04/05/2022 10:14

It's painful isn't it? The perma-dodge of a yes or no answer makes me extremely thankful muting is working today!

Zeugma · 04/05/2022 10:14

How is this guy a barrister?

Jules he is indeed a barrister.

Furthermore, Stephen was shortlisted in the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards 2021 for Barrister of the Year - according to Garden Court's website.

I couldn’t possibly comment.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 04/05/2022 10:16

My god I find pronouns so utterly tedious.

If 'you are who you say you are' why is it necessary to state it constantly - even in your screen name??

NoImAVeronica · 04/05/2022 10:16

Excellent point tabby - I recognised the heel-dragging but couldn't think why this might be. Are the respondents hoping we'll all get bored and drop out?

JulesRimetStillGleaming · 04/05/2022 10:18

I'm autistic and my brain would be melting down in this situation (unless I could just be totally honest and didn't have to choose my words carefully) but needing time to read things, time for processing the questions etc would help. I also have an Oxbridge degree so I'm pretty bright.

He is coming across as evasive but I can't figure out yet whether it's because he knows he's on a sticky wicket or he's not very good at processing information verbally in which case he might not be in the right job.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 04/05/2022 10:19

BC just made me laugh out loud!

'Can you please answer both?'

Zeugma · 04/05/2022 10:19

There’s a danger that this whole thing is going to grind to a complete halt with Mr Lue laboriously writing everything down and nit-picking over every single question.

oviraptor21 · 04/05/2022 10:20

Is it normal for a person of Mr Lue's intelligence to write down a question if it has two parts - and then not even answer the questions asked?

tabbycatstripy · 04/05/2022 10:22

'Is it normal for a person of Mr Lue's intelligence to write down a question if it has two parts - and then not even answer the questions asked?'

It's certainly a strategy.
