Men posing as women have no place in women’s sport - let’s hope this is the pendulum swinging back to common sense and fact.

I wondered the same, then saw that she had been liking a lot of Sharron Davies’ tweets on the issue. She may be keeping her head down a bit, but I don’t think she disagrees

With the greatest respect to Sally she has much less to lose.

It does and we do need her, and in fairness it sadly still takes great courage and bravery as the hate directed as such women is intense.

Ex Rugby player Daniel Leo has also been very vocal in the past too.

Yes. Perhaps a 5 x olympic champion and a Dame stands a chance of not being cancelled, even by British Cycling

Really pleased Sally Gunnell has spoken out. It makes it easier for current athletes to have a voice. Kelly Holmes and Tani Grey Thompson have also been brilliant in the past.

@AlwaysFireFighting I wasn't sure about Kylie Grimes either but she's definitely on the right side. She's tweeted other things about women's rights and sports, and clearly isn't supporting trans inclusion. Love love Sally Gunnell, brilliant memory of watching her win her gold when I was 15 and our whole family were in the lounge cheering. I’m definitely not an athlete, couldn’t hurdle a thing if my life depended on it but she was so good and she did it with such passion and commitment and that really resonated at the time in my mixed up teenage girl mind.
