Forgive the presumption, @Mforstater, but you’re probably busy in the pub right now, or passing on all of the fan mail to you legal team so I’ve made a new thread to carry on the fascinating discussion.

Hi all,

Thank you so much for all your support: emotional, intellectual, financial, spiritual(!) reading the Mumsnet feminism board is where this all started for me!

The case starts tomorrow.

It is all online. If you want to watch you need to email the tribunal for a log in to [email protected]

It kicks off at 10am - the first bit will be "admin" between the judges and the lawyers working out the timings, issues and any reporting restrictions hmm.

Once that is all sorted the judge and the panel will go away to read (probably for the rest of Monday and all of Tuesday)

I will most likely give evidence Wednesday and Thursday.

@tribunaltweets will be tweeting the whole thing (assuming they get permission from the judge)

Links to papers will go up throughout the case at www.hiyamaya.net.

Any other questions I am happy to answer them (apart from the ones where I have to say "that is for the tribunal to hear"...)

Does anyone know why some complainants aren’t to be named?

I imagine they've now taken the time to look at what Maya said and seen that the tide is definitely turning and maybe thought if I'm named and need another job, I wont get one. And be honest after this total balls up (even if maya loses) I'd be amazed if anyone ever again wanted to use this "think tank" and they will be looking for a new job. Imagine a think tank where no ones allowed to think, or worse you can think it but never ever say it. Makes a mockery of the whole business.

Oh - they're discussing the pamphlets!

BC asking about handing out of pamphlets and is now confirming from the evidence and the witness testimony that this is false.

Pamphlets WERE NOT handed out!

BC: A list of everyone and asking if they raised handing out of pamphlets.
MP: He answered "no" in response to all of the names.

I wonder who first spread that lie?

MP is foolishly saying that the GC video reminded him of the Nazis. Because of red and black imagery and something or other.

Is the video still available for watching?

I can easily see how someone leaving a pamphlet on a desk could very quickly become 'handing out' pamphlets through normal office gossip - without being a conscious lie.

Maybe, but who 'amplified' the lie on Twitter etc?

It would involve a conscious motivation to spread that misinformation though and for it to become 'office gossip' for that lie to continue to be repeated with no-one challenging it.

If I recall correctly, Stonewall's 'brand' colours were red and black for several years before recently changing to teal and pink.

I love that one of their responses was to put on all-staff training specifcally for Maya to attend, who they are now arguing wasn't staff

This is good, MP tells consultants that they're going to be appointed to investigate MF, the following day at a training day they chat with MF to gather the bad words and MF has no clue about this, then the consultants include MF's bad words in their report. MP thinks this is fine.

It would be interesting to see the reaction of certain witnesses to that image if they didn't know which 'side' it emanated from.

Ahh, that's not right, when MF spoke with the consultants she already knew they were going to be doing a report into the issues.
