If you’re non binary, why do you chose the girls changing area?

And not the mens...?

OP posts:
elferian · 21/02/2022 13:47

because you are predatory
because you are a voyeur
because you are scared of other men
because you are a non binary woman (you did not specify :))
because you seek out validation from fawning women

will let you work out what % apply to each of these

FemaleAndLearning · 21/02/2022 13:57

Non binary is not male or female so they should use the unisex changing room!
By girls do you mean young female humans or adult human females?

ShortnStout · 21/02/2022 14:00

because you are a non binary woman

I think you’ve just misgendered the non-binary individual there…

SunniDelite · 21/02/2022 14:02

"Non-binary" is a joke. There is no way that I would ever accept that someone is neither-male-nor-female. The absolute conceit of people who want to force everyone to deny the evidence of their eyes. I'd love one of our lurkers of the TR persuasion to explain to us what it actually is....

should have said if you were incorrectly assigned female at birth but actually have no gender.
Zerogravity · 21/02/2022 14:04

Because for a lot of men "non-binary" actually means "not the default sex" - which is male. So you are either male or "other". See also The Greens referring to women as "non-men". They just can't get their heads around men not being at the centre of the universe.

FlibbertyGiblets · 21/02/2022 14:09

Hiya just so I can understand what you are intending me to understand - this means an infant observed to be female at birth who was subsequently found to be a male infant (not sure how, genetic testing or something?) and in later life decided they had no gender, yes? I am quite happy to be corrected. Thank you!

Absolutely agree it is a joke, how can you not be male or female? And please don't bring DSD into this.
FlibbertyGiblets · 21/02/2022 14:10

Sorry, that was to elferian.

I meant female who later decided they had no gender. Not saying there is any sense in it.

Why speak of 'girls' and men? It indicates a disrespectful view.

JellySaurus · 21/02/2022 14:41

It's relevant and not disrespectful, as I think this thread refers to a recent case where an adult human male chose to sleep in the girls' dormitory with 15 year old human female children.
Goatsaregreat · 21/02/2022 14:45

I believe JellySaurus that these were young 9 - 10 year old girls - 5th graders as they're called in the United States?

JellySaurus · 21/02/2022 15:16

You're right. Distracted by talking to my own 15yo and thinking about how this ideology is harmful to them.

Thewindwhispers · 21/02/2022 15:19

Because being ‘non binary’ is all about exerting power over others, policing their speech, and making them uncomfortable, while claiming the moral high ground, and all that doesn’t work out so well in adult male spaces.

It’s bullying, basically, and bullies pick on the weak.

what it should be about (if anything) is rejecting stereotypes. If men took that view then the conversation would be about accepting rejection of male toxicity - and doing so in male spaces not imposing on women.
TurquoiseBaubles · 21/02/2022 15:57

Because everyone uses the fucking women's.

All women, all children, all older adults who have women with them as carers (so far so good), men who want to be women, men who are dressed as women, men who don't want to go to the men's (I'm talking about you, random man at the theatre who wanted to go "with his friends"), men whose "gender" isn't manly enough, and anyone who is dressed up as a caricature of a woman on a Saturday night out Angry

Sorry, I'm a tad angry. I've just returned from a weekend where I queued for the loo everyfuckingwhere I went. Airport, bus station, restaurant, museum, theatre, every place I went to I stood in a queue while a dozen men whooshed in and out the door beside me.

To be fair, pretty much all of those waiting were the usual cunty type of women. But adding more to our queues and reducing those for the men's is just bloody infuriating.

Fairislefandango · 21/02/2022 15:59

The problem is, when people say they are non-binary, this seems to be able to mean anything ranging from 'I honestly believe I am neither male nor female' to 'I'm a very unique and special person' to 'I am a female (or a male) person but I choose to reject sex-based stereotypes and for some reason believe that makes me belong to a whole different (non-existent) sex category' to 'I'm a woman, but sometimes I wear jeans and a t-shirt instead of a dress' Hmm so, like almost all women then?

In any case, male people shouldn't be in the female changing area, whatever they believe they are in their own head.

nancybotwinbloom · 21/02/2022 16:07

What toilet or changing room are people Who say they are non binary supposed to use?

Is it whatever sex they are? I mean that would be my answer?

My head is pickled after so many teams calls today and I came on her for light relief. My head is still picked.

334bu · 21/02/2022 16:16

These male born counsellors who identify as non binary, mentioned in above article chose to share sleeping accommodation with 10 - 11 year old girls(5th graders in USA) Parents were not told in advance that there was a possibility that make bodied adults would be sharing quarters with their daughters.
Personally I would consider this a 🚩

334bu · 21/02/2022 16:17

Male not make.Blush

FemaleAndLearning · 21/02/2022 16:19

An advert came on my FB feed for a women's and non binary festival. I asked the question is that "non binary females?". You can guess what happened I immediately got called a TERF and then someone said "yes for all marginalised genders". I took that to meant men and said so and that I'd give it a miss as I wanted a male free environment as I was a victim of male abuse. To which the one who called me a terf said "good". Very tolerant! Goes to show words can mean anything you want them to mean.

BlibBlabBlob · 21/02/2022 16:38

I am 'non-binary' because I don't understand gender. Because I don't confirm wholly (or even mostly) to female gender stereotypes. According to the transgender awareness training session I went on, these things make me non-binary and trans.

But I'm 44 and have far better things to worry about than gender woo, so I don't actually classify MYSELF as non-binary. I am female. I use the changing room that matches my biological sex. And in the vast majority of cases, so should everyone else.

BlibBlabBlob · 21/02/2022 16:39

conform not confirm!
