If you’re non binary, why do you chose the girls changing area?

And not the mens...?

The fact that non binary is a thing shows just how narrow a view genderists have.

Expectations of women and men vary vastly between countries, faiths and even socio-economic groups.

I don't understand how supposedly intelligent people fall for it.

@SunniDelite

"Non-binary" is a joke. There is no way that I would ever accept that someone is neither-male-nor-female. The absolute conceit of people who want to force everyone to deny the evidence of their eyes. I'd love one of our lurkers of the TR persuasion to explain to us what it actually is....
Once again for those not paying attention (don't mean you SunniGrin), genderism is a power play undertaken most usually by those who are already amongst the most privileged in society and is designed to launder that privilege, amongst other things.

It should be resisted at every turn.

Woahthehorsey · 21/02/2022 17:16

I only know non-binary females, and they don't feel safe in male spaces.

SunniDelite · 21/02/2022 17:42

DGD's pronouns are they/them. In reality she is a beautiful tall teenage girl with a (fairly new) large bust that she likes to squash. It's heartbreaking that she can't be proud to be a young woman.

SunniDelite · 21/02/2022 17:44

Sorry, that's a bit off the subject of blokes in women's spaces.....

butnobodytoldme · 21/02/2022 18:10

If you have 'xy' chromosomes, go where the other 'xy's' are, and if they stare at you, or frighten you, or hurt your feelings, or even appear to dislike your clothes, then you must just tell them to stop it at once and be kind to you.
A poster recently explained he chose to live and dress as if he was a woman, but knew of course he never would be, so when he went into men's loos or changing rooms, he fully expected a few stares, but shrugged it off and would never dream of going into the women's spaces.

That is a really clear way of putting it. Thanks.

@FemaleAndLearning

Non binary is not male or female so they should use the unisex changing room! By girls do you mean young female humans or adult human females?
I took the question from Twitter earlier today.

You are absolutely right it should say women's not girl's!

It was a genuine question given the other thread about camp leaders. But also girls is often used to mean women.
Do you have a link to the Twitter, will be interesting to take a look.

Me neither.

I cannot understand when people declare they are non-binary, since it seems to me they are binary.

I am male. I have always been male since my fathers sperm fused with my mothers egg. I was born male, recorded as male on my birth cert, I have always expressed myself in a male way and consider myself male since I had the means to consider myself at all. That is at no time has my sex or gender been anything other than male/masculine.

Since I have always since conception been in a single state -- no binary time, only ever one option. Mono if you like - but never binary, I can only conclude that I am non-binary,

However non-binary has always been described to me as someone that feels inbetween... surely that is a binary state, switching from one to the other.

I am left confused.

Does anyone else think it strange for ANY of the adult leaders to bunk withvthe children on a trip? I mean, why would you? This has never happened on any (a lot!) school/scouts/church trips I have been involved in. Is it usual in the USA?

334bu · 23/02/2022 09:11

I believe it is the norm in the USA. However, the point here is that biological males chose to request to share with 11year old girls and this was permitted as they are " non binary" , because this appears to override any safeguarding rules regarding men sharing sleeping accommodation , showers etc with 11 year old girls. Hmm

AmandaHoldensLips · 23/02/2022 09:15

What a load of old shit. I have absolutely no time for anyone who wants to be known as plural (they/them/twat).

Really odd. I was in a youth organisation which had provision for mixed-sex accommodation in extremis, which would be authorised by a senior officer when there was no other choice - sometimes happened on sail training ships.

Instructors (of either sex) directly sharing accommodation with cadets on the other hand was banned. It was something that must never happen.

334bu · 23/02/2022 11:59

How many organisations do you know that alliw men to share accommodation with 11 year old girls, even when there is no emergency? Any man requesting this should be viewed with suspicion.

As I say, ANY adult sharing with cadets was verboten.
