Just sharing this nonsense from an Anglican cleric.

Man doing 'women's jobs' is transgender.

Must go and tell my DH who's now doing the washing up.

I’m surprised that a minister should be so ignorant of his own religion.
The whole point of Jesus washing his disciples’ feet was to teach them humility, not act out some cross gender nonsense.
They had been arguing amongst themselves as to who was the most important disciple, and appealed to Jesus to settle the argument.
Characteristically, He told them that he who is first shall be last. And acted as a servant to them, not a woman.

Some people see woman = servant, I suppose, Babdoc. Being a Christian doesn't make one immune to sexism, unfortunately.

And single handedly prepared food for and fed 5000 people. No man could have managed that without a lot of heavy sighing.

Not to mention using every single fucking pot, pan and utensil in Judea.

It is very difficult & unfortunate (to say the least) that some denominations utterly reject the very concept of being transgender. People of faith who are trans should not feel they have to choose one over the other

How do you reconcile your faith in God with the idea that "God made a mistake"?

Jesus and MeatLoaf? Whoever next?

ArabellaScott · 24/01/2022 16:14

Meatloaf? I suppose 'bat' is a gendered insult. Never occurred to me before.

An article was posted on Twitter explaining why the writer believed ML to be queer/trans etc. It seemed to hinge on ML being overweight and not handsome and therefore his decision to wear flamboyant stage clothes went beyond wanting to wear flamboyant clothes on stage and towards transness. Confused

I've shared this before, but worth a repeat:
