It shouldn't take courage to attend such a march but it does.

So many brave women responding to the call to stand up for women in these oppressive times.

True Embarrassing. What's shocking is the media in Spain not reporting it. just one 20 second clip (careful not to show the size of the crowd). The government says nothing. The media says nothing. Full blown patriarchy. Thousands upon thousands of women have travelled by bus during the night to be in Madrid for the start of the demonstration. They only know about it through each other. remind you of something?

That makes me feel quite emotional. It's not something I feel able to talk to friends about (and my employer is so far up Stonewall's arse I couldn't voice anything to colleagues) so the only exposure I really get to this issue is on this board.

It makes me feel proud that women in other countries are willing to stand up to this.
