how many more of these stories are we going to hear of, and female inmates to suffer before the prison service and govt. wake up to the terrible situation they have created.

I'm a long standing Guardian reader and have always loathed the DM because of its racism and attitude towards migrants and refugees.

It really depresses me that on this issue, "my paper" is so weak and doesn't care about women while the generally vile DM is doing a brilliant job at bringing an important issue to the attention of the general public.

Maybe women just aren't nasty enough. Prison guards, prisons and no doubt whoever runs prisons are scared of being labelled transphobic and shouted at.
In Scotland, transactivists appear to have complete control of the government.

Stonewall have so much to answer for.
