Anyone fighting for trans rights in good faith should be shouting from the roofs against this. This will not end well for anyone. This is the most violent and predatory men in society, men who have been convicted of violent and sexual crimes against women, men who are allowed to identify as a woman but are incapable of identifying with women because they view us as less than human. And these horrors, men who are rightfully shunned by society and locked up for their crimes, are finding succour and fellowship under the ever growing, all encompassing never questioning rainbow umbrella. All because there can be no chink in brave and fabulous wonder that is trans. No boundaries, no lines that won't be crossed. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is in charge of putting men into Downview womens prison. He is the Prime Minister.

Highdown mens prison is across the road. A two minute walk away.

There is a transgender wing AFAIK at Downview.

As far as I understand, transgender wings, where they exist, are just seperate dorms? Women are still forced to interact with these men all day.
Hopefully someone with more info on the situation in the UK will come along.

Prison is meant to be the punishment for the crime. Not rape and rape babies. I think that those that made these policies are worse than the prisoners they are locking up. The wrong people are clearly incarcerated.

What are they going to do with these babies ? Is there a fund set aside for therapy etc who's going to tell to tell.how they came to be? Or will that be someone else's job? You just going to.let this hapoen then pin the responsibility to clean up the mess on other people?

In the KPSS trial they suggested this was because people pretended to be trans - they were rather trapped as they either had to agree this or that transwomen were more likely to commit sexual assault than other men and thought 'only pretending' was the better option.

The transgender wing at Downview is a separate building afaik. Prisoners associate in the library, gym, work etc. but people of different sexes aren’t locked up together. I think that’s a good compromise, a better one would have been to create the trans wing in Highview.

Women get sexually assaulted in the communal areas.

Even just the discomfort of being in the same room as a nonce should be justification for keeping men away from women.

A UK judge has said as much this past fortnight.

These men are being put into communal areas so they are free to rape these women (prison guards, as well as prisoners are also at risk)

Just so that they can get a good night's kip, in a separate bedroom, after doing this is not a good enough reason.

Maybe (rosetinted specs firmly in place) the greater scrutiny that could arise as they try to prove that a mixed sex Downview is working just fine will lead to better provision for the women there.

I knew nothing about conditions in women’s prisons in the UK till I started reading about it as part of this.
