How does Joss Prior get away with it?

Thank you @Glinner for your latest Substack post on Joss Prior issuing a twitter threat against various GC twitter users. The list includes Sally Challen's son, who has never had any skin in this game. A man who has had to campaign to have his abused mother released from prison now has to deal with a death threat.

Not Prior, but some lawyer also posted something vile to the recently widowed Dr Louise Moody. I won't repeat it here. It is set out in the link. The little coward appears to have deleted his twitter page.

Like Glinner, I am sick the the "both sides" equivalence drawn by people like that Fawcett Society woman. Women on the GC side, and men like Glinner, Arty, Simon Fanshawe, do not behave in any way like this. And the furore if we did would be incredible.

Why do they get away with it?

What's the saying? To find out who rules over you find out who you can't criticise. (Something like that.)

AssassinatedBeauty · 23/06/2021 18:47

The comments from the LibDems arbout the Ed Davey seating issue are incredibly dismissive and belittling:

WotgunShedding · 23/06/2021 18:59

It looks like that account might be a parody account Blush

Sorry if I've confused things!

iwantalicencetocrenellate · 27/06/2021 12:02

@MondayYogurt Indeed. The main perpetrator was Sarah Brown, who called themselves "auntysarah" on this forum. Vile piece of work.

iwantalicencetocrenellate · 27/06/2021 12:03

@WarriorN It's a real giveaway behaviour. Sarah Brown ("auntysarah" 🤮) was the worst offender on the forum in question.

iwantalicencetocrenellate · 27/06/2021 12:06

Sorry, I've name changed since originally posting!

TedImgoingmad · 27/06/2021 16:07

@iwantalicencetocrenellatev, do you mean the Sarah Brown?

gordonandsarahbrown.com/sarah-brown/

Sarah Brown, chair of a global children's charity, and of an education charity, is an online bully?

I'm guessing they mean this one, not GB's wife en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Brown_(politician)

TedImgoingmad · 27/06/2021 17:11

Oh, phew, thanks dianebrewster that's a relief! I thought that sounded a bit out of character!

Not heard of the other Sarah Brown before.

iwantalicencetocrenellate · 27/06/2021 17:19

@TedImgoingmad no, not Gordon Brown's wife. The one I'm talking about is a former Lib Dem councillor.

Bollockstothat · 27/06/2021 17:55

The one I'm talking about is a former Lib Dem councillor.

And was spectacularly shit at it even by the standards of Cambridge Lib Dems, which is saying something. Then got into a hysterical twitter fight with a local political blogger in which Sarah Brown was extremely aggressive (though the blogger in question had a reputation as a misogynist bully so it was one of those situations where you wanted everyone to lose) and flounced off the council. Made several attempts to come back - on one occasion, trying to take the seat vacated by the admirable Ann Sinnott - but couldn't get the votes. Thankfully, Sarah Brown now seems to have given up or been told to fuck off by the local party. One of Sarah Brown's partners - Sarah Brown is, predictably, polyamorous - is also a transwoman Lib Dem councillor who apparently advises the party on trans issues. Sarah Brown's partner seems much nicer, and smarter, than Sarah Brown.

TedImgoingmad · 28/06/2021 07:49

@iwantalicencetocrenellate @Bollockstothat thank you for the clarification. Interesting information, thank you.

Oh yes it's worth not mixing up
Sarah "suck my formaldehyde pickled balls"Brown and Sarah "wife of ex-Prime Minister" Brown.

Two entirely different people.

Bollockstothat · 28/06/2021 17:41

WanderinWomb I'd forgotten the exact phrase Envy (not envy).

mum61 · 30/08/2021 10:11

I just encounter the lovely Joss Prior on twitter this morning , I was engaged in a discussion about the gay man who was bullied from Pride by trans activists. Joss' replies were just foul name calling. Joss is a bully plain and simple.

AfternoonToffee · 30/08/2021 10:24

Joss and co only have vile name calling, no substance just bullying.

WarriorN · 30/08/2021 17:38

I've had / read many more than usual fb discussions with people recently about the trans malarkey; it's been popping up in unexpected places.

Everyone apart from in person has ended up being sneering or abusive (generally both.)

The one who didn't kept making the point that beasts are gendered words as you don't hear men talking about their breasts therefore chestfeeding is trans inclusive.

As someone who knows their anatomy and a bit about breastfeeding, I did wonder if therefore milk blebs are also a gendered word as you don't hear men talking about their milk blebs....

RufustheBadgeringReindeer · 30/08/2021 17:47

@yeahbutnaw

"If you see someone taking the ‘both sides’ trope out for a trot, ask them to produce anything by me, Jess De Wahls, JK Rowling or Maya Forstater, or any other gender critical person, that even comes close to the poisonous filth produced by the men above."

What about that time he accused Grace Lavery of being a pedophile?

Proof?

(God sometimes i amaze myself with my hopeful, usually misplaced, optimism…..)

RufustheBadgeringReindeer · 30/08/2021 17:49

@vivariumvivariumsvivaria

I'm sorry to dump bad news, Wotgun.

Found RIP. First Minister expressed her condolences, there was a lot of press attention in Scotland.

Again, it is sad. 38 is not fair for anyone.

No you’re right

Feels like youve been robbed

allmywhat · 31/08/2021 16:51

The online gendercritical movement is basically men pretending to be women… But the women they think they are talking to, are men pretending to be women too.

Reposting this Joss quote from the first page of the thread, because it made me laugh.

Joss certainly has a knack for accurately describing people and situations. Though never the people Joss is actually talking about. It’s so blatant you have to wonder if it’s a wind-up sometimes!

(Marion Millar, Mr Menno & Seven Hex)

How does Joss Prior get away with it?
MosaicLife · 02/09/2021 01:11

@Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons - and that will go unchallenged by Twitter, Police, etc.

It is absolutely vile, yet as JP has said it is a “joke”, there will be no consequences - just imagine the outcry if the opposite “joke” was posted by women!!!

NonnyMouse1337 · 02/09/2021 06:08

These things go unchallenged because it doesn't get reported to the police. Anyone can report a hate incident to the police if they have witnessed it - you don't have to be the person the messages are directed to.

Use these online forms:
www.report-it.org.uk/reporting_internet_hate_crime

reportharmfulcontent.com/?lang=en

Scotland:
www.scotland.police.uk/secureforms/c3/

Menno is gay. Seven Hex is trans. So the hate incident reports can cover sexual orientation and transgender identity. I think Marion (and the rest of us) will now also be covered under religion due to Maya Forstater's judgement that GC beliefs are protected. We may not be covered by sex, but our beliefs are protected now, so let's use the law to rightfully challenge hate when we encounter it.
If we don't take these issues seriously, no one else will.

timeisnotaline · 02/09/2021 06:14

I’ve reported the tweet to Twitter. I’m not in the uk so don’t want to report to the police.
