How does Joss Prior get away with it?

Thank you @Glinner for your latest Substack post on Joss Prior issuing a twitter threat against various GC twitter users. The list includes Sally Challen's son, who has never had any skin in this game. A man who has had to campaign to have his abused mother released from prison now has to deal with a death threat.

Not Prior, but some lawyer also posted something vile to the recently widowed Dr Louise Moody. I won't repeat it here. It is set out in the link. The little coward appears to have deleted his twitter page.

Like Glinner, I am sick the the "both sides" equivalence drawn by people like that Fawcett Society woman. Women on the GC side, and men like Glinner, Arty, Simon Fanshawe, do not behave in any way like this. And the furore if we did would be incredible.

I'm intrigued as to whether TipTopHat is a name change or someone who joined just to say that. Pity it will be deleted.

Joss posted a video recently. The content was the usual misogynist nonsense, but I was quite struck by the accent - Joss has a really rather nice broad Scouse going on.

But yeah, no idea why Joss hasn't been banned by now. Think it's probably the timely 'who, me? Nonono - that was edgy humour not a death threat!' retractions.

Joss obviously finds it hugely satisfying, if not quite compulsive? Joss does seem to be on twitter spouting bollocks pretty much 24/7. Doesn't seem to get much engagement in response though - maybe because Joss has blocked half of twitter, maybe because even other TRAs find Joss a bit too clownish - who knows?

Was Joss Prior one of the people who said vile things about Magdalen Berns' death?

I saw a lot of kindness from so-called-bigots after a Scottish trans woman died. Leeze Lawrence was involved in Scottish politics and was campaigning to have hair removal on the NHS for trans women, died suddenly at 38. The GC women I follow on twitter all expressed sadness that someone would die so young and sympathy for those who cared for Leeze.

The difference struck me.

I saw the Fakelawyer's tweets. They were quite shockingly offensive and targetted at harassing an individual. A whole series directly attacking Dr Moody, including accusing her of being a domestic abuser, and repeatedly mocking her for living in a "converted garage".

Had Fakey being on the receiving end, there would most certainly be a lawsuit issued the next morning, crying "harassment".

I have no idea what Dr M's living arrangements are but whatever they are, I bet they aren't funded by Housing Benefit.

It's best not to go too far down the baseless insults route, no matter the provocation. The TRAs will just screen shot it as "proof" of our hatefulness. Robust debate, they can bloody well have.

Thank you Maskless. When you say "fake lawyer", what exactly were they claiming to be? LM sounds like she has been having an awful time of it since her wife's death. Trolling her on top of bereavement and betrayal is the behaviour of an unfortunate individual with low morals.

It is incredible what TRAs can get away with on Twitter, compared to other people including feminists. There's obviously a political slant to the moderation.

The moderation seems quite random. This week I was one of a few people who reported Prior for encouraging people to poison gender critical co-workers. My report was accepted - on the grounds of 'encouraging suicide and self-harm'. That makes no sense, unless Twitter thinks Prior is gender critical. Whereas other people would probably have got the boot for the cyanide comment, Prior was soon back, and has changed their name to 'a little drop of poison'.

Forget twitter, surely the police should be involved? If a ribbon is enough....

Well that's true, if a feminist had made a 'joke' about poisoning TRAs, she'd be arrested in front of her kids and bundled into a police cell. Feminists have been prosecuted for a lot less.

Prior's tweets were actually forwarded to the police. No action, of course.

It totally undermines any claim TRAs have to being 'the most oppressed'.

@glinner and others have traced this to specific incel individuals, and the general dominance of high tech/Silicon Valley by incel males et al. I think they found specific links between Twitter and Aimee Challenor and their fantasist-paedophile spouse (or was that Reddit?)

Anyway, the connection between incel "ideas", MRA ideology, and gender extremist ideology is embedded in tech developments in Silicon Valley & elsewhere.

Yes, I am aware of the kind of things Leeze used to tweet. I can still think a death at a relatively young age is sad.

Yes, Royal I wouldn't have described Leeze as an upstanding member of the community. Leeze was deeply unpleasant to feminists, and had some influence over our MSPs - considerable influence if you believed what Leeze said.

I still think it's sad to die at 38 and that was what I saw on twitter from feminists about Leeze's death. I didn't see a single negative comment. Joss wouldn't be as kind about the premature death of any of those feminists.

Guess female conditioning is a powerful thing.

It was difficult at first to pin down what was making me feel so uneasy, but then I had the lightbulb moment that they were speaking just like any abusive man I've ever come across if someone dared to disagree with them.
