It's what we all knew but still upsetting to read.

On a related note, I just wanted to re-share this Observer interview from May 2021 with Dr David Bell, another Tavistock whistleblower. Dr Bell always comes across so clearly and eloquently.

@Kendodd

In 2009 40 girls under 18 were referred to doctors for gender treatment in England. By 2017 the number had soared to 1,806.

Let's imagine for a minute that we are in a better place now and that it's a good think that more children are getting 'help' for gender issues. That might imply that in 2009 1,766 young girls went without the treatment they needed. I would really like to know what happened to those young girls and where they are now? I suspect most are living completely normal lives, possibly a high proportion are lesbians. I would bet money they are more likely to be happy than those would entered treatment in 2017.

Then take this further: not only was there over a thousand girls who “missed out” on an appropriate referral in 2009 who are now in their 20s, there are thousands from all the years before and all the years after. By those numbers, there should be tens of thousands of women in their 20s, 30s, and beyond who couldn’t get the support for their gender identity. Where are they all? Are adult gender clinics overwhelmed with tens of thousands of females wanting to transition because they missed out as kids?

Mumsnet have kindly deleted my posts from yesterday. The judge made some unclear remarks this morning about the use of the legal bundle outside the court room (unclear what can be said/used in public outside the verbal testimony) so to be on the safe side, I asked MNHQ to delete my posts with quotes from the witness statements.
