I woke up stupidly early and just had a peruse of the papers and found this. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the comments of James Dreyfus and remember him fondly from his TV programmes.
To echo a pp's point - I have a look every day at the chosen stories in a wide range of papers, websites and publications. It's interesting to see what they cover, how they cover it, and what's happening with comments. This includes the influential MailOnline.
The Mail is really problematic in terms of its editorial slant and manipulative style - look at today's anti-migrant fever - but some of its journalism on some important issues is very good. The roof may need fixing, but is a mansion of many rooms.
