I’ve never tried, but everything on this site is so basic I suspect you can’t. We only just got a quote feature (and it still doesn’t work if the post you want to quote has another quote in it).

Not complaining though, I think the plain-ness of this place is one of it’s strengths.

He's insane. Have you seen the frequency of his tweets? Nobody tweets with such fervour and remains sane. He's lost everything, not because of the cause he supports, but because of his obsessive behaviour. And he will go anywhere people agree with him so he will make this his echo chamber.

I'm not interested in participating in his circus. And I know I'm not alone.

No one wants to see Hate Speech on MN.

This place has real mods, not just AI, so so report any hate speech you come across (we have a frequent late night visitor who we call ‘The Midnight Misogynist’ and I have personally witnessed his nastiness being removed rapidly, despite the un sociable U.K. hour).

Well there is a regular poster who seems to always gets trapped in threads, you know, like Will in the Upside Down in Stranger things, so I wouldn’t begrudge someone deactivating, lest they get trapped and can’t find the “close tab” button also 😮.

I think they say that because he was mostly posting at night time, but I don't think there's any evidence of that. I haven't heard anyone report it and the way he was scrutinised I'm sure we'd see pictures fairly quickly

You should also consider restricting posting access to FWR as you do for the Sex topic.

It seems to have been treated as such in various contexts for quite a long time. Given that the standard definition of the very word 'woman' is deemed 'transphobic' by a vociferous minority, it's only to be expected - although unfortunately too many of the contexts involve people who should know better.

This is a really good idea.

The people who have it in for Graham Linehan will just follow him here. It will take all of the moderators' time. Which isn't really fair on them.

We have the one thread showing how batshit they are. We don't need tons.

Also agree with this: this must be tricky for @MNHQ, but they need to make it clear that they will not allow this site to be flooded by literal trolls.

You know the great thing about Mumsnet? You don’t have to agree with everyone else and this is the shocker, you don’t actually have to read or comment on what anyone else posts. It’s such a weird concept, I know! 😲
