Is there some rule about disclosing donations over £5K that would explain someone giving £4850?

There used to be a rule that all donations made by a limited consent to charity amounting in total to £2,000 or more in any year had to be disclosed in the annual accounts. That was abolished in 2013.

All political donations exceeding £5,000 in one year must be disclosed.

£4,850 is pretty much $6,000 at the moment, depending on commission

Not considering that £4850 of it came from one single anonymous donation (why not £5k on-the-dot? Very odd)
I wondered if it was something to do with banks' money-laundering regulations; but the maximum amount for that is €8K (though of course that amount can be split.)
£5K is the maximum amount you can donate to a political campaign and still stay anonymous; maybe the donor was being extra careful?

I’ve been bored and have been reading twitter feeds. The one who was apparently in walking dead, 10 episodes of it, not actually the star. Daniel Newman. He tweets just constantly. Drivel. Mentioned this once.

Lorraine Kelly didn’t really mention, though there was a nice to meet you to another guest.

I suspect some of the guests agreed to take part then were told more about the reality of Mermaids governance and operations. Some kept to their commitment but didn’t bring their fan bases along. It seems others may have dropped out.

I see mermaids have had to cancel all their training sessions. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Been searching for the silver lining in all of this, besides it getting a lot of people who do not otherwise excercise, out excercising.

Mermaids and their ilk, hopefully they slope off into the shadows never to try and infiltrate kids minds again. Though no doubt, they will come up with a new plan of attack and keep going..

Agreed obviously with those saying turning kids against their parents was clearly not the best plan, for normal people anyway, For abusers, it was a touch of genius really..get the kids thinking they can only trust you and people you recommend :(

In November they flew to Gibraltar to teach the teachers and medical professionals. Now in April 2020 they are working from home like most of us. Any training they provide could easily be recorded. And somehow hasn’t been provided remotely.
