This is awful, there is no excuse for what they’re doing.
Since when did trans peoples pain become the most special?

I haven't finished watching yet, but am so horrified by Heather's account of sex offenders taking advantage of transfers to women's prison in order to continue offending against female inmates and guards alike.

Also the idea that the prison service will pay for breast implants for self-declared transwomen but not birth control pills (used for many reasons beyond birth control) for female inmates.

Also, "male behavior and impulses do not leave if you have the surgery" is such an important point when it comes to serious convicted pedophiles like this:

And the women aren't allowed free contraception when they leave to go to a safe house, yet the males get breast implants.

They are doing what the Catholic Church did with priests who were exposed as molesters and rapists of children - moving them around as soon as it becomes untenable in one prison/half way house so they can offend again in another. Are no lessons ever learned ?

For anyone watching this and thinking, well, it's Canada, not the UK - this is absolutely coming/has come to the UK already (Karen White anyone?/Tara Hudson petition and their 6 inch surprise/transwoman's wing in women's prison, where the males who identify as women are still able to share spaces with the women in gym space etc/etc etc)

What's also gutting to hear is that the women's organisations that Heather had gone to for support are pretty much ostracising any woman who speaks out about this.

I struggle to understand any woman politician who wants to bat this issue away under the LGBTQIA rainbow, such as:

• Jo Swinson lesbians can be abusive too, think about the vulnerable men - who identify as women
• Sarah Woolaston there will be a separate route for predatory men who might abuse self-ID

could watch this interview and still be on point for self-ID.

Helen Belcher should not be your compass point for making policy. These women should be. The really vulnerable women you are all ignoring. Not just in Canda. Your woke policies will do this to UK women too.

(And Labour, and Greens, and Conservatives - I'm looking at you too. You've managed to sneak under the radar here, whilst Jo Swinson gets the heat. You're all complicit)

This is why when the times announces that trans are ‘most vulnerable’ they are also failing women as it ignores the fact that women are far more vulnerable and need protection.

It all seems so obvious that this is what would happen. Yet still this interview manages to shock.

Female guards shouldn't have to search men full stop let alone ones with erections.

The statistics are horrific. And the idea that women will not be able to have their babies with them because the staff need guns to control people who shouldnt even be there..wtf.

It's not a prison it's a horror/snuff movie. Fucks sake.

And we all knew this had nothing to do with safety or theyd have been happy with third spaces etc but to have this confirmed that only 2 applications cited safety concerns...

For anyone watching this and thinking, well, it's Canada, not the UK - this is absolutely coming/has come to the UK already

The new prison policy for the UK (came into force on 31 October) states that " all individuals who are transgender must be initially allocated to part of the estate which matches their legally recognised gender".

This means that any man with a GRC which makes him legally female will be placed in a women's prison.

Under the self ID policy which the Lib Dems and Labour both have in their manifesto, that means that any male offender could sign a declaration that he intends to 'live as a woman' and it will be his legal right to go to a women's prison.

Jo Swinson thinks that the proposed changes to the GRA are trivial:

Labour and the Lib Dems don't seem to understand what the consequences are of being able to change the sex marker on your birth certificate. Are they stupid or do they think we are?

Just awful. Jo Swinson needs to see this. If, as she claims, she is genuinely happy with men in women's loos, I look forward to hearing her justify sex offenders in women's prisons. Anna in Warwickshire, Emma Barnett, Justin Webb, Nick Robinson, et al, please will one of you ask her.

Have just watched the video, it is staggering that this is the reality for women prisoners in Canada. Sex offenders & paedophiles requesting transfer to the female estate and being given it. This has to stop.
Crazy that staff can not refuse to do a strip search, even when the ma’am has an erection.

Wow!!! People need to watch this. Mind blowing!

Even leaving the trans stuff aside, the stuff she has to say about life in jail (locally run, all remand prisoners go there) is so shocking. 5'X7' cells with three beds in. Then they cram a fourth woman in, sleeping on the floor, legs under one bed, head beside the toilet!

And her point that most women are in for drugs related offences, which generally speaking stem from starting out by self-medicating to get over abusive childhoods. Also indigenous women are massively over-represented among the prison population.

There's this huge disconnect between Canada's public image (tolerant, liberal, lovely rainbow nation of many people living in ethnic and gender-woke harmony, in an eco-paradise, with a super-woke, liberal PM everyone loves) and what's actually happening (murder of indigenous women, shocking conditions in jail, logging/fracking like there's no tomorrow - which possibly there won't be, with a PM with a penchant for blacking up and trying to cover up dodgy real estate scandals).
