The racism of the woke is staggering.

See also: the woke attitudes to sex-segregated vs mixed-sex versus toilet provision in developing countries compared to the West.

When discussing developing nations, single-sex toilet provision is seen as one of the keys to reducing sexual assault and rape; as well as being important in facilitating girls to participate more fully in education; and educating girls is a way to lift countries out of poverty.

But in the West, the woke regard singe-sex toilet facilities as regressive and unneeded. No man is ever going to adopt a trans identity in order to gain access to these facilities for nefarious sexual purposes (pay no attention to the fat Canadian by the tampon machine, please!). Toilets should be gender-neutral, or else everyone should just use whichever bogs fit their completely subjective gender identity on that particular day.

The implication there is brown men = savage rapists, white men = progressive and good allies to women.

This isn't tolerance. That's how it's being dressed up, granted, and anyone who objects is frequently labelled a bigot/TERF/boomer blah blah blah. But tolerance it ain't. Tolerance is telling a child that they don't need to conform to gender stereotypes. It's freeing them from the constraints that society places them under regarding appropriate behaviour for their biological sex. It's letting boys who like dresses and playing with dolls, or girls who like football and short hair, do all of these things without reinforcing the purely sexist notion that rather than simply being a boy who likes dresses, they must actually be a girl who was "born in the wrong body". A huge proportion of gender non-conforming children grow up to be gay, so this incessant pigeon holing and advocating for children to be medicalised and set on a pathway towards surgery (and infertility, anorgasmia etc) is also extremely homophobic.

But sure, it's the people who question all of this who are the bigots...

This x 1,000,000. Excellent post.

I drink a lot of Diet Coke. Too much, really, and I've been feeling guilty about the single use plastics. Thanks for finally helping me quit.

I am genuinely agog at anyone who can watch this, understand what it is and think "wooo, progressive!" It's a fucking instrument of torture applied to tell your child she isn't good enough as she is. FUCK. THAT. SHIT.

No more coke for me then. Luckily my local shop sell Karma Cola which is much nicer anyway. Organic and fair trade too.

It is rare that an ad move upset me like that one does.

I agree with every word WhatsInAName19 wrote. That is not what tolerance looks like.

I don't know if I'm imagining it but I thought the parents all looked so sad as their children went off. I'm sure Coke was assuming that look would conjure up "oh nostalgia my child is growing up" but I'm thinking "devastated at how lost my child is".

Looking at the list of Coke products I realise that they're not going to really notice my boycott as I don't drink any soft drinks anyway. But I would get some in the house at Christmas and they won't be from the Coke stable this year that's for sure.
