Just look at Annie Lennox for example

That is not drag. It is just wearing clothes.

Princess Diana also wore a tuxedo. She also wasn't wearing drag.

I am currently wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I am not wearing drag.

'Drag' as a concept relies on the idea that some clothes are for men and some clothes are for women. It is a re-enforcement of gender stereotypes.

Here are Banarama at the original live aid recording wearing jeans, sweatshirts, base and DMs.

One of my fave original gender benders.

I know the young are prone to thinking they invented everything - but this really is ridiculous.

It makes me laugh, because my stepdad used to say stuff like that to me Grin - he was an original hippy who was a teen/young adult in the swinging sixties Grin

Signed, an old(ish) women Wink

*Woman. I am a woman, not plural Grin

The first time I met my stepdad he had long hair, a moustache and was wearing a very long mauve crocheted cardigan Grin This was late 70s.

The other day I heard about a Drag Queen called JonBenet Ramsey, after the 6 year old girl who was murdered. This was after the live abortion 'act' thing.

I used to think Lily Savage was funny. I've since gone off the idea.

I know I'm going to get Not All Drag Queens just like NAMALT and maybe I'm old fashioned but when men pretend to be women as a performance whilst taking the piss out of us and our trauma and out of dead kids I don't find it funny or even mildly entertaining.
