If you're a beauty therapist and a trans woman came to you to ask for their scrotum to be waxed, what would your response be? More to the point, would you think refusing to do so is in breach of human rights? Fortunately, a court in Vancouver has seen common sense and ruled that it absolutely does not. No one has the 'right' to have their genitals waxed, whilst women that refuse to perform the procedure are well within their rights.

That's not even the issue here. The issue for me is her determination to punish a group of people she considered hostile to trans rights.
Because clearly fighting bigotry with bigotry is the way to go. I despair.

You're right, and I'm so pleased that the decision to make him pay the costs and further money to some of his 'victims' was made. Common sense prevailed. What a vile person, with very vile intentions.

The issue is that men are taking women to court to remove their right to refuse consent to touch male genitals.
The women in question were not bigoted in the slightest.
It is not a crime to believe that women have autonomy over whose genitals they consent (or refuse) to touch.

Fo those who buy into the farce, trans woman means a man who identifies as a woman. A trans man is a woman who identifies as a man.

I'll probably get deleted for elaborating but I believe a biological man is a man regardless of self-id. Likewise with biological women. You cannot change sex, it's something that's determined at a chromosomal level. It's not a 'feeling'.

Women are entitled to sex segregated spaces to keep them safe from men who cause them harm. Men being invited into these spaces negates this and shows women that our wellbeing is worth nothing so the masses can pander to the whims of men.

No man can tell a woman how it 'feels' to be one. Being told that is the biggest slap in the face I've come across in a while to be honest

Not read link but I read about this care before. I don't understand why it even got as far as it did. Waxing a scrotum is a different skill to waxing a vulva is it not? Had the beauty therapist gone ahead and done it without correct training surely that invalidates insurance?

I didn't say they were. The reason he chose these particular women was because he believed them to be part of a culture that were transphobic. So he targeted them purely for that.
My point about bigotry was despairing of his attitude that the correct way to fight (perceived) bigotry was by attacking a different minority group - more bigatory.

The comment about the tampons made me feel nauseous.
