Am shocked, I knew she was ill but never expected this so soon.

Her tweets about her ex being an arse when she was at her lowest were heartbreaking and her joy at seeing reviews of her book was infectious.

RIP

The sons were reconciled

I was really sad to hear about her death, and see her twitter account disappear this week. I've read her for years and really admired her.

Her ex sounds horrendous. I can understand though why her sons may not want that stuff public.

Ted Hughes destroyed Sylvia Plath's journals. Something similar going on here perhaps.

The revolting commentary on Toxic Twitter following this poor woman's death would have single-handedly 'peak transed' me if I hadn't already peaked some time ago. How can people in all conscience post the revolting stuff they have when someone else - someone's family member, mother, and loved one - has just died?

Speaks loud and clear as to who and what these people are. And in the same breath they're hollering for respect and inclusion.

Works two ways.

Yes, the irony being that Deborah Orr was very sympathetic to the TRAs until recently. She was trying to be fair but others warned her that nothing but total capitulation would satisfy them and there was no point trying to reason or engage. When eventually she did put a foot wrong they went after her with a vengeance, right up to cheering at her cruel untimely death. They are beneath contempt.
