Is anyone else aware that Posie is doing an interview with controversial youtuber, j.f. gariepy? didn't expect to see that...

Lang since you presume to know me. Please do tell me what you think Genderism is and when I have said I support it?

I’m very happy for a man to put on a dress and be a man, which is more than I can say for most of these people Posie seems to like.

Most of this alt-right types don’t like trans because they think a man should be a man and do and wear manly things and a woman should be a women and do and wear womanly things and that’s all there is too it - id say that Genderism.

I don’t believe humans can change biological sex and putting on a dress doesn’t make you a woman however I believe gender dysphoria is a real condition and trans people deserve thought in all of this as well as women. If a man wants to wear a dress and makeup and still be a man - all power to him!

But great attempt to discredit as usual rather than engaging!

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 17/10/2019 23:07

I’m bewildered by this thread
Same. I'm assuming for different reasons though. I mean, I'm on the feminism board but people are OK with this guy and his views as it furthers their trans views..
W.T.A.F
TRAs are as or MORE racist than this asshole on YT. They continuously make horrific and false analogies involving Black women. PP talks to this guy and TRAs swoon with the horror of it all?
Again, why is it an either or?
I can feel revulsion at extremist TRA views, but at the same time I can feel it for some of the stuff expressed on here too....

2BthatUnnoticed · 17/10/2019 23:08

Well I for one support anyone calling out racism as and where they see it. There’s certainly enough of it around. I don’t often agree with you early but I support your freedom of expression and association, just as much as I support Posie’s.

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 17/10/2019 23:13

This is really well put. I think most people here can agree with it. Too far in either direction leads to the same outcome, constrained gender stereotypes.

2BthatUnnoticed · 17/10/2019 23:15

TRAs express racist views constantly (daily)

PP doesn’t

PP talks to this YT-er

And somehow THAT act

Is worse than the constant, rampant racism of genderism

I reject that guy and his abhorrent views

Nonetheless, this thread is a beat up

If you hate PP and her actions that’s fine, we all respect your right to do so

HTH

Datun · 17/10/2019 23:16

If you hate PP and her actions that’s fine, we all respect your right to do so

Not her hair though. You can't hate that. That will really annoy me.

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 17/10/2019 23:17

I support your freedom of expression and association, just as much as I support Posie’s.

And form opinions based on it, good or bad.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/10/2019 23:18

...If I say I don't love the hair is someone going to smack me?

LangCleg · 17/10/2019 23:18

I will call out anything I deem racist, or condoning racists/racism. I don’t care who you are. Trans/gay/black/white/child/woman/man doesn’t make the slightest bit of difference to me.

Good to know! I'll look forward to seeing you on the next thread about genderist racism then, since you've been missing on all the previous ones. Will you have three days to spare, do you think?

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 17/10/2019 23:21

If you hate PP and her actions that’s fine, we all respect your right to do so HTH

I don't "hate" her. I don't know her.
I just don't agree blindly with everything she says, or stands for.

TRAs express racist views constantly (daily) PP doesn’t
Never said she did. She does express extreme trans views though but to some (not all) that's going to mean Jack Shit though on here as they won't accept that transphobia is even a thing.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 17/10/2019 23:26

This is really well put. I think most people here can agree with it. Too far in either direction leads to the same outcome, constrained gender stereotypes.

I thought so too, and think the same

Datun · 17/10/2019 23:31

...If I say I don't love the hair is someone going to smack me?

No, but I might harvest your organs for the thigh women.

LangCleg · 17/10/2019 23:32

...If I say I don't love the hair is someone going to smack me?

Only if you promise to enjoy it.

I shall call it the Kitten Paradox.

Earlywalker · 17/10/2019 23:34

Is worse than the constant, rampant racism of genderism

I don’t think anyone has at any point said that either is better or worse. All racism and links with racism is unacceptable.

Tbh the constant implication from some people that your political views and ideology should in any way influence whether you are more or less immune from criticism over racism or racist links is frankly bizarre.

I’m not on TRAnet I’m here, I don’t see these things and if I did I would certainly call it out, as I hope those of you that seem to be seeing it on a daily basis are doing so yourself.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 17/10/2019 23:35

So now instead of discussing points
we're now on about kittens
loving hair
harvesting organs
but it's us doing the derailing.
Hmm

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 17/10/2019 23:36

I’m not on TRAnet I’m here, I don’t see these things and if I did I would certainly call it out, as I hope those of you that seem to be seeing it on a daily basis are doing so yourself

Same and so would I if I was seeing it

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/10/2019 23:38

I've lived a colorful life, not sure anyway would really want my organs tbh...

2BthatUnnoticed · 17/10/2019 23:39

Worra I respect your right not to agree with PP then.

early I don’t think anyone should be immune from censure from racism at all. Hence I support your right to call this guy or PP or anyone else racist.

I’ve had my own experiences of racism and my own views - they won’t necessarily align with yours and that is ok.

Right. We’re all in the same page, what a relief.

Earlywalker · 17/10/2019 23:39

Yes it is interesting lang you accused me of being a ‘genderist’ a few times, I directly addressed this and you and you’ve ignored it and instead decided to talk about hair and kittens.

Almost like you don’t want anyone to pick that up, so you’ll just try and derail instead. Can’t wait to hear who had weetabix for breakfast this morning.

Datun · 17/10/2019 23:41

I wonder there the OPs gone?

Ru-ude

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/10/2019 23:42

The OP seems to have plopped and ran.

zebrasdontwearbras · 18/10/2019 00:01

Posie on Facebook:

"My place in this world right now is to tell people what is happening to women and children, it is not to gain popularity points or to please certain women. It is to ensure that no one can say they didn't know"

Well I'm not going to argue with that.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 18/10/2019 00:08

"Certain women?"
What does that mean? (Genuine question)
Certain women as in transwomen?
Or does it mean including the rest of us as well told to shut up, sit down, be quiet, derailer, filibustering handmaiden/MRA/etc for daring to question?
Somebody who's supposedly a feminist surely they'd have some qualms about some of the anti women shit spouted about where they're going to speak?!

zebrasdontwearbras · 18/10/2019 00:12

"certain women" means the women who are her critics. She doesn't mean transwomen, because she doesn't think transwomen are women.

Creepster · 18/10/2019 00:13

Let's all argue about how we argue.
The bait on the hook in the OP was to ask if we were aware that"...Posie is doing an interview with controversial youtuber..."

Controversial is doing some heavy lifting there.
