Wait, the trans lobby tell us you don't need to go through any kind of medical transition to change gender, and Charlie had gone though social transition. If it is acceptence without exception then you don't get to claim someone wasn't trans enough when it suits you.

I thought being trans was no longer a mental disorder, but a way of being. Demanding someone has a diagnosis of gender dysphoria to be trans goes against that rule.

It's what she represents. The possibility that there could be enough detransitioners appearing that the media becomes properly interested and starts asking the right questions.

What would the gender identity ideologues do then? Continue to deny that there's more than a handful of detransitioners while they're right there in public? Reconfigure the ideology to acknowledge detransition while arguing that it must be disregarded? Or, God forbid, start to examine their own beliefs?
