Janice Turner isn't happy with Munroe Bergdorf working with Childline; Jones goes in to bat (not baseball bat. yet) for Bergdorf.

Seems to be accusing her of, amongst other things, misogyny by association. Which is interesting.

Jones generates income from clicks. He needs attention from clicks otherwise he has no career and no income. He is the product, and he has to try and stay relevant because he's the marketable thing. Not an issue.

I'd be amazed if the Times' legal team didn't approve the JT article before it was published, to rule out any potential libel. They're not stupid, they know the trans lobby is super litigious and that JT has been a past target. I think it would be good if they did sue or start a campaign against JT, they will be the ones who look like fools, and more light will be shed on the nefarious nature of this lobby.

I'm sure Rose of Dawn and Miranda Y will have some interesting insights on this latest debacle.

Re Melinda Messenger. According to her Wiki page, she was made an ambassador to Barbados by the Duchess of Cornwall. No mention of NSPCC involvement. While she definitely spent much of her career in glamour model mode, latterly she reinvented herself as a TV presenter and "professional mum", which, I assume, made someone think she was suitable for the Barnados role, which she was awarded in her late 30s. Not sure you can compare that to MB, who is very much still in glamour model mode, and whose expertise in children seems to be confined to having been one once.

He has blocked so many people that he will be the last person in the UK to realise what is going on. It's quite funny actually. The longer he carries on with his unhinged rants, the better. When the Guardian finally sees sense and sacks him, he'll be lucky to get a job at The Canary.

Ha ha ha. Sorry, Barnados! Which is not a quasi government entity, which I understand NSPCC is. But both have poor judgment in choosing their ambassadors.

I doubt that the NSPCC's decision had anything to do with Janice.

Their statement made perfectly clear that they frowned on celebrities making unilateral announcements about positions they may or may not have at the charity. That is just a sensible safeguarding measure. Monroe also asked kids to message directly, now that is seriously wrong.

Agree that support for Janice would be great. Have done my bit. The comments. Jeez. Depressing and bewildering.

I'm pretty sure that when the Amnesty sexual exploitation scandal hit, he encouraged everyone to keep supporting them.
