Madigan's Latest Targets

I was in two minds whether to open this thread, because often posts end up being deleted, but I decided (rightly or wrongly) to do so.

From telling Maya to "fck off" and then repeatedly, over and over again, telling people how they had told her to "fck off" it looks like Madigan will now be going for Joanna Cherry. Apparently, she has been "transphobic".

Why can we never simply have a calm, reasoned debate about this?
Any time anyone raises a point of view, in the mildest way, that does not subscribe fully to this rigid trans dogma they are vilified and attacked in an uber-aggressive way. It is bullying and everyone is fearful of voicing an opinion. I want to use the word "sinister" about this - because I feel it is sinister, to stifle debate.

I genuinely do not understand how somebody like Madigan has been allowed to consistently attack women in this way. They seem to have protected status as being "trans" - Madigan knows this, so they just keep on being vicious.

If anybody does want to post, please make sure it is not offensive. Because often there has been interesting points that have then disappeared because of a wrong word or phrase, or another post that was a bit OTT makes the whole thing go.

Aah and so things start to make a bit more sense.

And funny how the other person says their side and manages to do so without the hatred and nastiness .

The woman Madigan targeted has shared messages and tweets as well... that are.... revealing.

SarahTancredi · 18/06/2019 07:59

Hang on i just remembered that it wasnt that long ago that they accused Karen whites victims of lying.

So we have to believe them when calling out transphobia but everyone else is lying ?
Really?

We can only believe trans peope now?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/06/2019 08:02

I’m lucky. If I lost my shit in public I have enough people around me who would calmly lead me away and give me chocolate and a cup of tea, shoulder to cry on if necessary and sane words.

Some people don’t. They only have people around them who egg them on for whatever reason - and these people will disappear when the shit hits the fan.

KatvonHostileExtremist · 18/06/2019 09:56

As soon as anyone doesn't do what Madigan wants, they are a transphobic bully.

This is an amazing tactic for making friends.....

Honestly someone needs to rescue Madigan from Madigan.

At the bottom of the Medium article, it says the author (one L. Madigan) has has chosen not to show responses on this story.

I wonder why Grin

Thank you. I found these 6 screenshots from Madigan's victim here. I'll upload them in two consecutive posts if anybody wants to see.

To me, it's textbook manipulation. It's quite shocking really to see the tactics in the cold light of day, with full evidence.

What make it even more pertinent, is that this girl was a genuine friend of Madigan's. She was open, friendly, made an effort - a so-called "trans ally" - and now has had her uni life ruined because of Madigan's vicious behaviour.

What on earth do Momentum, Lewisham Labour, the Goldsmith's SU and Labour Students have to say about this?

They can't dismiss this and ignore it by saying it's come from a "terf" - it's come from one of their own.

Madigan has, yet again, been caught lying. And, yet again, it's vicious, targeted behaviour of a female.

I feel like Madigan should have some kind of trigger warning - that anybody who comes into contact with them should be made fully aware of their track record, and how to spot the signs of this manipulative, coercive behaviour.

It’s very vengeful immature behaviour, simply because a person accused this friend of saying he/she. I mean Christ. You really must be extremely privileged and self absorbed if this is your biggest worry in life Madigan.

DanaPhoenix · 18/06/2019 10:48

I don't think there ever was a "friend " that told them that. Odds on Madigan came up with it as reason to vent Madigan's rage about being rejected.

Narcs gonna narc.

newdocket · 18/06/2019 11:14

The content of those screenshots is very revealing, and quite chilling. I cannot for the life of me understand how / why the movements they are involved in do not take issue with their behaviour.

nauticant · 18/06/2019 11:32

The agonies one must go through as a young woman to be a close friend of Madigan. Continual self-policing, self-questioning, and obedience.

SarahTancredi · 18/06/2019 11:36

I actually feel really sorry for India.

She learnt a very valuable lesson about what she helped these people fight for.

Next time she goes to the toilet to gave five mins to cry or whatever, any guy who was giving her or her friends grief can follow them right in. And is the person she was a good ally to grateful?
No. They acted just like all the others who decide to make your life hell because they refused to sleep with them.

A very tough lesson

misscockerspaniel · 18/06/2019 12:11

Being trans or defending trans is a license to get away with activity that would normally be seen as beyond the pale

Trans privilege in a nutshell.

RedToothBrush · 18/06/2019 12:22

Bullies bully.
They can be male or female.

This was the way I woke up.

When no one in my family would challenge about the unacceptable behaviour of my sibling's partner, despite it being the first time we met. And in stead they came up with every excuse possible to justify their aggressive, rude and confrontational behaviour which made me feel uncomfortable and intimidated.

When you aren't held to the same standards as the rest of society because 'trans' there is a problem.

Equality is as much about being condemned for wrong doing as it is about being given assistance for a legitimate disadvantage.

I hope she eventually comes to this conclusion, but she's shouting at 'terfs' for using her experience for their gain.

Personally, I just want her to realise that no one should be allowed to hide behind their identity regardless of what it is. Everyone should be accountable.

dillydallyXX · 18/06/2019 15:27

Chilling is a "good" (for want of a better word) word for it.

When you read the story in sequence you see all the manipulation.

First, friendly. Almost a bit of the sympathy card because they are "oppressed" as they are "trans".

Then, the moving in on the girl now she is single. Inappropriate, creepy messages about "filling her up" and "feeling her up" "not with the hand".

Then the guilt trip. "But I saw you with friends and I wasn't invited" "You made me feel bad when I saw you with people and not me".

Then, the mind games. The blocking and de-listing on social media and Labour groups.

Then, the escalation in nastiness. Calling her "transphobic", spreading malicious gossip and made-up stories. Telling people that this girl had done something really bad, but wouldn't give details. And still saying "not me", I tried to de-escalate things.

It really is quite shocking. Madigan is toxic. And I hope everyone at Goldsmith's and Lewisham and Labour Students now see what Madigan is.

On a personal level, this whole saga is just sad.

In a societal level, I am deeply disturbed by the entire concept of reporting people to the party. Did non of these young adults ever take a history class? Do they know about McCarthyism, witch trials, or any of the other episodes of historical abuse of group-thinking?
