'cute and tiny and flirty and frilly' - aka female

'I get to be cute and tiny and flirty and frilly and delicate and cry' says a Tweeter.

  1. How does transitioning make one 'tiny and delicate'? Matter can't suddenly vanish. Science rapidly disappearing into a black hole.

  2. And why does 'female' magically equal physically diminished, helpless AND infantilised?

Losing both adult physical mass and brain development?

I don't know where to start.

This is joining 'letting out a squeal because wearing pink' on my 'WTF this is an insult' list.

LOL! I was born female and at nearly 6 foot am anything but "tiny and delicate" Grin Still a female through and through!

Newsflash: Females come in all shapes and sizes. The thing they do all have in common though are XX chromosomes!

VickyEadie · 21/04/2019 14:43

I've never been any of those things. I wasn't even "tiny" at birth, weighing 9lbs 12oz.

I'm still a woman, of relatively average height and size, however.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 21/04/2019 15:53

well that’a not outrageously sexist at all is it? That person clearly has very disordered ideas of what constitutes a female

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 21/04/2019 15:54

And why can’t boys and men cry? That kind of thinking is actively dangerous to the emotional well-being of my DS’s and should not be tolerated

Mbwashenzi · 21/04/2019 16:40

Hi, new account but long time lurker here.
Did you see the bio of @NewGenderWhoDis? "Support the trans or catch these hands" doesn't sound very cute or frilly Shock

Erythronium · 21/04/2019 17:30

Sounds like the description of a toddler girl in a pink dress. They literally are cute, tiny and delicate and they do cry. What is going on in the heads of these people?

aidelmaidel · 21/04/2019 17:42

And yet it is terribly woke to be 100% in support of this kind of regressive bullshit. Thank fuck for Mumsnet, since it's too dangerous to say what one really thinks in public.

boatyardblues · 21/04/2019 17:45

None of the words in the thread header apply to me either. But I am unambiguously, unquestionably female.

ZuttZeVootEeeVro · 21/04/2019 17:48

This is an adult male fantasizing about being a cute, vulnerable little girl.

The danger here isn't sexism.

placemats · 21/04/2019 19:10

Most males who transition to female are not tiny, cute, flirty or frilly. Usually they are male bodied men having gone through puberty and are middle aged.

Some middle aged men are handsome. Most are not.

NancyJoan · 21/04/2019 19:11

Worried now I’m not a woman after all.

Hamster00 · 21/04/2019 20:00

Typical TRA cookie-cutter timeline tbh.

Gamer - check
Anime - check
Pictures / fixation with hormones - check
Self-IDs as a lesbian - check
Uses "Cis" regularly - check
Girl dick references - check

Then the attached screenie.... yeah. Just like a woman - TOTALLY.

PickleC · 21/04/2019 20:51

Well clearly I can't be a woman. Comes as a surprise after all these years but can't recall a time when I could be described as cute or tiny and sure as hell not got frills in the wardrobe. It sounds like some weird fantasy far removed from the lived experience of any woman I have ever known.

The children of friends have displayed so much imagination in who they choose to be on any given day and your hope is that that freedom continues for their whole lives. I would hate to think that as young women they would be stunted by trying to be cutesy and girly or that the boys would be unable to show emotion in some stupid macho stereotype

I’m a 5”8 bodybuilder and I would look ludicrous in fucking frills.

This person could be all these things with a functional feminist system. This reductive gender essentialist crap breaks my tiny, cute heart.

boatyardblues · 21/04/2019 21:01

Frills on clothing are something I actively avoid - too much volume and more faff to iron. Gravy catchers (frilly/fluted sleeves) are the worst.

boatyardblues · 21/04/2019 21:02

This reductive gender essentialist crap breaks my tiny, cute heart.

Arf!

BareBelliedSneetch · 21/04/2019 21:05

I’m 5’2” and totally un tiny, cute or frilly 🙄

I look like a pig in a doily if I try wearing anything frilly.

That’s not my femininity.

StealthPolarBear · 21/04/2019 21:11

One thing I have noticed since all this crap is how many different shapes and sizes women do come in. How different we all look. And yet we're all instantly recognisable as women.
As far as I can tlll though all trans women are caked in make up and wear revealing clothes (I know some biological women do this too). So little variation.

ErrolTheDragon · 21/04/2019 21:19

Sounds like the description of a toddler girl in a pink dress. They literally are cute, tiny and delicate and they do cry.

They're not 'flirty' though...

What is going on in the heads of these people?

...???

Erythronium · 21/04/2019 21:35

No they're not. But there are certain types of people who do think little girls "flirt". Possibly the same type of person who would imagine they were a little girl themselves.

Cuntysnark · 21/04/2019 22:03

Today I wore a mans t shirt & mans shorts and work boots with a steel toecap. I shovelled a ton of soil and cooked 8 hour lamb & cut out a felt shape for a lavender bag. Where am I on the gender spectrum?

pombear · 21/04/2019 22:43

Hamster nails it.

You really only need a couple of minutes scrolling on many of these profiles.

On one hand, this should be the reason why we shouldn't even need to be talking about this here. Women don't need to be justifying what is and isn't a woman with regards to this person who is up on twitter chattering about 'frilly' stuff but also about their dick's sensitivity and being an anal slut.

But on the other hand, these are the people that the woke-tribe think they are defending, the most vulnerable, most unsafe people in the world. (I only hope it's just ignorance, and they're not thinking WhoDis really is the most vulnerable group of women in the world?)

pombear · 21/04/2019 22:47

Cunty - I think you're on the 'busy' part of the spectrum! That's it. Just 'busy' compared to a lot of us!

(Imagining you shovelling the soil onto a strange 'lamb bake' pit, with the lamb encased in a lavender bag. Whilst wearing...clothes!)
