Caroline, I am honestly almost in tears looking at your Twitter feed tonight.

Her kids have been doxxed by the good doctor.

She is continuing to receive harassment from TRAs. Someone has just sent a pizza to her house.

We all need to get behind her. They think she's a weaker target because of her Catholic views, I'm sure. Let's get on Twitter and report everyone that is sending her abuse.

If the people you are referring to have harassed in any way, then yes, it should be applied to them as well!
It works both ways

Public interest is a defence in drawing public attention to public figures and their actions. It is not necessarily harassment if you can demonstrate this and show a good case for your intent and how it is not malicious and nor designed to intimidate.

However some of the harassment listed against Caro has no public interest defence because of its very nature.

The idea that this is tit for tat and equal from both sides is grossly misleading and shows poor understanding of the law.

Indeed its a deliberate attempt to try and misrepresent the law.

Not if those individuals were behaving in a way that was questionable either ethically or legally. Then it would be pointing out the behaviour and raising questions that stem for that. This is particularly relevant if the person concerned had a public profile or was in a position of particular influence or power. At this point a public interest defence can be argued.

Caro, hope you have a helpful meeting tonight. As has been said upthread, the lack of action in dealing with your stalker and the abuse you've been taking is appalling. I hope you find an option which will allow you to get some respite and peace from this. So sorry for what you're dealing with.

Has Caro threatening to burn anyone's hands? To disfigure anyone with acid? No. She hasn't.
