So talking to Victoria Derbyshire was more important than the alledged 'hate crime'? Hmmmm.

It does seem that the general consensus on social media is that this is utterly batshit.

As I said on the other Caro thread, VD should've been asking SG exactly what she thought was untrue or hateful about those tweets. Very weak interview. Not enough context given about what SG did to her child and at what age things happened.

Does she always look that smug? If she's so fucking concerned about her kid being upset by what people say on the internet, maybe they should both just not look. Her actions invited criticism, she can't than complain when those criticisms hurt her feelings. How childish.

I thought it wasn’t a bad report, limited as only SG there. They showed the apparent tweets - three I think? SG maintained was the references to mutilation and castration, and “child abuse” that led her to make the complaint in October, rather than “misgendering”. Read out statement from CF and from the police. SG said she’d withdrawn complaint mainly to avoid giving CF a platform.
VD asked a few times whether this should be a police matter, but really that’s a question for the police.

Seems to be a hot topic today, there's someone named Katie Yeomans on This Morning right now complaining about being accidentally misgendered by rail staff who didn't have their glasses on. Katie is taking them to court over this.

They were upsetting tweets; I’ll concede that. But the reality is so very distressing that discussing it in unfiltered terms makes for stark reading. I didn’t really understand why SG made the report, her claim she wasn’t crying to the police for ‘misgendering’ felt disingenuous to say the least.

I’m no legal expert. Is tweeting that someone abused their child a crime? Potentially libel I guess? Do the police get involved with that?

Despicable behaviour on the part of SG and all part of the TRA modus operandi. Attack, attack, attack, go for maximum airtime, and continue to shout the same indefensible falsehoods. She dropped the complaint yesterday apparently, but nobody thought to tell Caro. Including the police.

I would be demanding to see the tweets that were so offensive, and suing the arse of her for defamation of character (or whatever). Bloody outrageous. What an AWFUL self-seeking woman.

Of course the tweets were distressing. They were accurately describing exactly what Susie Green did. What is more distressing? Acknowledging that someone did something terrible, or doing the terrible thing in the first place?

I feel very sorry for Green's child, who has been discussed at length in the media for years. It would have been better for the parents to have protected their child's privacy, IMO.

Jackie is an adult now but has been talked about publicly in great detail for years.

There is something slightly comical about the idea that PC Plod read those tweets and decided the worst thing was the misgendering, rather than the references to castration and child abuse.

I am not interested in watching or reading any of SG’s story about her child’s operations etc any more than I already have, but how the heck does she describe it? What is she offended by? Weren’t those tweets describing the actual reality? And isn’t it an illegal thing in this country? So in this country, it’s accepted as at the very least dangerous, possibly abusive or immoral, hence it being illegal. She’s not doing her child any favours. If she didn’t want her child’s personal medical history being discussed, she shouldn’t have done so many stories and made a career off the back of it!

What age is her kid? I saw someone calculated Jackie's age as 27 but it's hard to believe that even Susie Green would act that way about a 27 year old.
