Apparently a woman spent 8 hours in a cell/being interviewed by the police for a "transphobic" Tweet along the lines of TWAW. Can't bring myself to buy the Mail tomorrow to check the details, but it may be taken up by other papers.

It really is odd that they are so aggressive about being misgendered.

Strangers for example can't be expected to know in advance and getting all het up all the time can't be good for one's blood pressure

I find it quite extraordinary that the police are wasting time arresting people for being transphobic when time and time again battered women are being told the police can't do anything about an injunction being broken because it's a court matter when a lot of women can't afford to take their exes back to court during a divorce.
I was told this no less than 6 times during my 1st divorce and had to give up my well paid job and go onto benefits to qualify for legal aid in order to stay safe.
