Apparently a woman spent 8 hours in a cell/being interviewed by the police for a "transphobic" Tweet along the lines of TWAW. Can't bring myself to buy the Mail tomorrow to check the details, but it may be taken up by other papers.

The Harrop wedding, on public record:

Search for

kiwi farms (lawyer's surname)

I don't want MN to be targeted for providing a direct link.

AnyFucker · 12/02/2019 09:48

I am not finding that kiwi farms thread

FlyingOink · 12/02/2019 09:49

The KF thread has screenshots of Hayden's Instagram, there are a couple of a youngish man with Hayden. I was trying to work out if that was a son or a partner, either way the youngish man looks similar to Harrop.

RockyFlintstone · 12/02/2019 10:03

Thank you, I have found it.

Christ alive!

Also, how does Stephanie have the time for all this?!

Thingybob · 12/02/2019 10:05

What is the deal with Steph and Harrop? It seems they first met in person only recently, as in a few months ago, but suddenly Steph is meeting up with Harrop and going to his family birthdays and seems to be well inserted into Harrop's inner circle.

Reading between the lines and the photo posted online it seems to be quite easy to become one of the Doctors inner circle. He had a big Bday so where were all the extended family, the work colleagues, the uni or childhood friends?

I felt rather sad for the Dr that an internet acquaintance can be catapulted into that tiny inner circle by simply supporting his online opinions for a few months. But then I guess Steph is the only TRA who displays some loyalty and doesn't give him a wide berth when he becomes controversial (and vice versa).

I predict that this match made in heaven may break down just as quickly.

Needmoresleep · 12/02/2019 10:24

TimeLady, thank you.

There is a bewilderingly normal side to Adrian. He got through medical school, his partner looks nice, and his mum was at his wedding. I used the address where his company is registered to look up streetview, and it showed a normal suburban house with very clean windows, a neat front garden and a car with a Doctor on Call sticker, parked outside.

He could be having a nice life, and doing good through working for the NHS. Instead....

hackmum · 12/02/2019 10:28

I think we all know from David Lynch movies that suburbia has a dark side. All sorts of horrors happen behind the white picket fence.

Insertwitticismhere · 12/02/2019 10:29

Why are the TRAs so fixated with Mumsnet when Kiwi Farms exists???
I thought I had run out of flabber to be ghasted but that screenshot of a tweet from SH 're police interviewing someone about their tweets ...

Why are the TRAs so fixated with Mumsnet when Kiwi Farms exists

This site is mostly women, who they seek control over.
Not only that but it's millions of women who go against the woman stereotype.

andyoldlabour · 12/02/2019 10:33

"Harrop is married?

His husband must be mortified, surely??!"

Well from what I have seen over the past few months, the majority of "gobby" TW's seem to be "lesbians" Confused Grin

FoldyRoll · 12/02/2019 10:50

Why are the TRAs so fixated with Mumsnet when Kiwi Farms exists???

Misogyny, pure and simple, Insert. They hate us cos they ain't us, and they never will be.

hackmum · 12/02/2019 11:11

It is misogyny, of course, but it's also because Mumsnet is huge and influential. Everyone's heard of Mumsnet - how many have heard of Kiwi Farms?

Iused2BanOptimist · 12/02/2019 11:13

Why are the TRAs so fixated with Mumsnet when Kiwi Farms exists???

They get some success getting people deleted or banned or otherwise pressuring Mumsnet, not to mention occasionally successful doxxing if people are careless about letting various on line identities be linked.

Good luck with kiwi farms it's not in the UK and they don't give a fuck

AnotherBewilderedQuoll · 12/02/2019 11:21

They've probably already tried all their usual bluff and bloviating on KF owners, only to find, as did Mr Hairy Scrote, that they're mocked, told to fuck off, then ignored. As should've happened here.

TimeLady · 12/02/2019 11:23

how many have heard of Kiwi Farms?

A lot more than a year ago, I bet; me included.

Popchyk · 12/02/2019 11:48

I had never heard of Kiwi Farms before the Challenor debacle last year. And wow, those guys are thorough.

I had never heard of Incels, Gamergate, 4chan or Breitbart either before last year.

If this country continues down the path of police investigation for stating scientific facts, then platforms like Kiwi Farms will grow and grow, that is very clear.

I think the Woke Stasi needs to be careful about what it wishes for. Platforms like the BBC could easily woke themselves out of existence. Cos I am not gonna be paying £150 per year to be told that middle-class white men are the most oppressed of all women. Not a chance.

Bowlofbabelfish · 12/02/2019 11:48

Why are the TRAs so fixated with Mumsnet when Kiwi Farms exists???

Women run and use MN most
MN is Uk based and we don’t have free speech enshrined the same way the USA do (barely at all.)
KF isn’t a business in the same way MN is.

KF users are far, far more likely to bite back.

QuietContraryMary · 12/02/2019 12:06

Kiwi Farms is a lot bigger than some people are assuming. It has a global ranking of 13,585 on Alexa (Mumsnet is 7138). Mumsnet is much popular in the UK (288), however.

It is however basically 4chan in terms of credibility - it is not something politicians are going to engage with, whereas Mumsnet is a legitimate website.

That's one of the reasons why TRAs want to go for Mumsnet, because Mumsnet has legitimacy that KF lacks.

Needmoresleep · 12/02/2019 12:13

Is it possible to see whether MNs international ranking is growing? I assume it is.

Needmoresleep · 12/02/2019 12:16

Popchyk. BBC apparently lost close to 1 million licence payers last year. Their bigger problem may be that they are also losing public support. Fine to be woke, but that is a small market as the Guardian are discovering.

QuietContraryMary · 12/02/2019 12:24

Needmoresleep, apparently it has been but not currently

www.alexa.com/siteinfo/mumsnet.com

But I'm not sure how accurate their data are, so pinch of salt etc.

TimeLady · 12/02/2019 12:31

Lots of MN detective work on the lawyer and associates on this thread#

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3418617-mumsnet-is-breaching-section-26-of-the-equality-act-2010-harassment-by-hosting-feminist-forums-that-discuss-gender-critical-issues-legal-case?pg=3&messages=100

in case anyone from KF is reading this, including a falling out with Birkbeck Student's union, I believe.

FlyingOink · 12/02/2019 13:15

It is however basically 4chan in terms of credibility - it is not something politicians are going to engage with, whereas Mumsnet is a legitimate website.
That cowboy status means direct interaction is more likely, because there's an element of plausible deniability.
It's believed that Trump Jr. has posted on 4chan, for example. It's quite possible and difficult to prove or disprove.
