4 core strategic priorities:

•	Empowering individuals
•	Transforming institutions
•	Changing hearts and minds
•	Changing laws

Here’s some information about Jan Gooding, Stonewall Chair, who seems to have overseen the financialisation of Stonewall from charity into deep pocketed lobby group:

Jan Gooding Group Brand Director Aviva

Jan is one of the most senior directors in the Aviva Group and is responsible for the leadership, oversight and governance of brand and marketing strategy worldwide. She is the very visible sponsor of the LGBT employee network Aviva Pride, and was elected Chair of Trustees of Stonewall in May 2014. This year she guided the board of trustees through a change in the remit of Stonewall to include ‘T’ in the focus of their activities, and in March she gave the annual lecture to the Employment Lawyers Association, addressing over 500 lawyers, QC’s and judges across the country on the areas of concern to Stonewall as the legal changes took hold.

From her public Linkedin Profile:

Jan Gooding is a marketing leader with a career which has included senior executive roles working with blue chip companies like BT, British Gas, Diageo, Unilever and, most latterly, as the Group Brand director at Aviva. She was responsible for unifying the c£400K global marketing spend under the brand idea 'Good Thinking'. In her final role at Aviva, as their first Global Inclusion Director, she led the introduction of the ground-breaking policy of equal parental leave.
-She is currently the Chair of LGBT equality charity Stonewall, which reaches and supports LGBT activists in over 70 countries worldwide. When she took over the helm, Stonewall was focussed on equality based on people’s sexual orientation, and did not actively campaign on gender identity issues-. Under her leadership Stonewall extended it remit to campaign for trans equality in 2015.
She was appointed President of MRS (Market Research Society) April 2017. And is a Fellow of the Marketing Society and member of WACL (Women in Advertising and Communication London).
Jan is known to be one of the UK’s most outspoken marketing leaders on the subjects ranging from building global brands to inclusive leadership.

Her remarks from 2018 Stonewall Review:

Now is such a critical time for Stonewall, as we continue to fight for all aspects of LGBT inclusion. Reflecting on the year now coming to an end, 2018 has been a difficult year, particularly for trans people. They have faced a barrage of negative coverage, and we at Stonewall have made no bones about using our voice and our platform to directly confront it. But the struggle for lesbian, gay and bi equality hasn’t let up either.
We stand up forpeople.
We stand up for the respect and acceptance of L, plus G, plus B, plus T, plus, plus, plus: we stand up for people. For just as we jointly suffer from hate, discrimination and ignorance from certain quarters of society, we are united by, and stand together, to insist on equality for everyone.
One thing is true. We do draw a line with regard to questioning whether trans people deserve the same level of equality as any other group. This aspect of the current media frenzy is not up for debate.
We also believe that giving greater equality and respect to trans people will not negatively impact the rights of women or any other group.
We know that acceptance and respect for all LGBT+ people is not achieved through false ‘debates’ on social media.
We know that the acceptance and respect we seek for all LGBT+ people is not achieved through false ‘debates’ on social media. It is done by hard work on the ground, day after day, in our schools, communities and workplaces.
Here are a few examples of what our brilliant staff and volunteers have been up to:
• For the first time we attended 30 Prides, reaching some communities for the first time.
• Our hardworking Information Service dealt with over 5,550 calls and emails.
• We now have over 1,500 Stonewall School Champions and trained 2,300 teachers, all of whom are now working to make schools safe and inclusive spaces for LGBT pupils. Importantly, 458 of these are schools with faith values.
• We launched a new international programme to work with 29 organisations in 25 countries to specifically address human rights violations faced by lesbians, bi women and trans people over the next two years.
• We successfully lobbied the Government to make Relationships and Sex Education, and Health Education, compulsory in all of England’s schools and LGBT inclusive.
• As part of our international ‘Access to Justice’ programme, we trained 118 police, prosecutors and policy-makers in Europe on hate crime and LGBT equality and diversity.
• No less than 25 leading global organisations, employing 1.3 million people across the world, demonstrated their commitment to improving workplace equality by entering our Global Workplace Equality Index.
• We successfully lobbied the Government to reduce the period that gay and bi men need to have had no sexual activity before donating blood from 12 months to 3 months.
• Following our extensive lobbying, the UK Government launched a consultation on reforming the Gender Recognition Act (2004) which received record coverage and a huge response from our supporters.

Rather ironic remarks considering the unreliability of Stonewall’s stats:

-I have to say that throughout my career getting my hands on trustworthy data and insight has been crucial. It helps to explain where you are. How you may have got there. And what viable options there may be to move forward-.

And from our friends at Pink News, some insights into the PR & marketing expertise behind Stonewall:

Ogilvy Pride UK is the LGBT specialist PR & marketing consultancy of Ogilvy & Mather Group UK. As well as being recognised as Stonewall Champions, Ogilvy’s global efforts have been recognised by the Human Rights Campaign Organisation, who have rated the company as one of the best places to work as an LGBT individual.

Ogilvy Pride targets pink pound. The division will help clients tap into the $3trillion global LGBT market.By 2020 it is estimated that in London alone the traditional mainstream majority will be outnumbered by minority groups. For a global brand campaign to be truly strategic in its communications, consideration of minority consumer audiences such as LGBT is now key.’

Ogilvy Pride is also the first global agency to partner with UK-based LGBT advocacy organization, Stonewall. A spokesperson for Stonewall told Gay Star Business: ‘It’s great to see Ogilvy launch a specialism that specifically looks out for the needs of the LGBT community.’
In the US, Ogilvy & Mather Group scored a top ranking of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s most recent Corporate Equality Index.
Below, in a recent video produced by Ogilvy Pride, Jonathan Mildenhall, the Chief Marketing Officer of Airbnb, explains why initiatives such as Ogilvy Pride are important in the marketing industry; an industry he describes as ‘inherently conservative’.

Ogilvy Pride, the LGBT and inclusive marketing specialists from across the Ogilvy Group, have announced a significant expansion of the agency’s leadership team with the appointment of a new head of the agency for the team and two new deputies

Who stands to gain if safeguarding of women and children is compromised?

Who stands to gain if Stonewall becomes effectively the business arm of the extreme TRA ideology?

Who is bankrolling Stonewall and why?

Whose independence is compromised by money/ extensive LGBT public profiles?

At best it’s a prime example of Lisa M’s analysis of policy makers being wilfully blind to the extrem harm they are causing. At worse it stinks to high heaven - of Stonewall being used as a front to possibly cover up the criminal behaviour of a few whilst the many are distracted by the business of building their woke credentials

Ruth Hunt is the CEO of Stonewall

quote "Today, society has moved on and Stonewall no longer needs to maintain a strict distinction between sexual orientation and gender identity. Historically, we thought it was the right thing to do. Over the last four months I’ve spoken to hundreds of trans people who say we were wrong to maintain that distinction and we made it worse by making mistakes. We recognise the impact of mistakes we have made in the past. We are aware that we have missed opportunities to open up this conversation far sooner. We apologise to trans people for the harm that we have caused"

This jumped out at me:

From Chair of Stonewall:

We also believe that giving greater equality and respect to trans people will not negatively impact the rights of women or any other group.

From Charity Commission's guidelines:

Legal requirement: when campaigning, charity trustees must comply not only with charity law, but other civil and criminal laws that may apply. Where applicable they should also comply with the Code of the Advertising Standards Authority.

A charity can campaign using emotive or controversial material, where this is lawful and justifiable in the context of the campaign. Such material must be factually accurate and have a legitimate evidence base.

So where's the proof and facts Stonewall to back up your "belief" that the rights of women and any other group will not be negatively impacted? That flies in the face of your organisational behaviour as evidenced by RO's excellent breakdown of your lobbying aims and timeline. You have been deliberately misleading the public to dismantle essential safeguarding plus working strategically to change legislation to enable that without the consent of your membership. You have been working to put all children, including trans-kids, as well as women in harm's way for your own ends. Shame on you.

Morgan Page works for Stonewall:

Sunday Times article by Andrew Gilligan
December 23 2018

'New lottery bonanza for transgender lobby'
(extract)
"The national lottery was last night accused of breaking its ban on political funding after giving a large grant to a second controversial transgender lobbying group.

The Big Lottery Fund (BLF) will pay £494,000 to “empower trans leaders and organisations” in “facilitation, media and influencing”. The money is being handed to the advocacy group Stonewall for distribution to other activists, creating a “network of leaders” to lobby for change. Stonewall was central to the campaign for contentious changes to gender laws. (continues)

Dressed only in a glittery bra and panties, Morgan Page is performing Wardrobe Changes and Four Cocks, a no-holds-barred cabaret routine about her encounters as a Toronto sex worker, including one with a trans client boasting “the world’s smallest testicular implants, the size of Cadbury’s Mini Eggs”.

Life has moved on for Page since then. Now in London, she is working for the advocacy group Stonewall on its “transgender leadership programme”, which is managing a new national lottery grant of almost £500,000. This was given to Stonewall to “empower trans leaders and organisations” with a “particular focus on leadership, media and influencing”.

Page’s views on the debate she is paid to influence are as explicit as her descriptions of her former customers. Britain is “losing its mind over trans people . . . bigotry has reached a fever pitch,” she has written. (continues)

Page’s activism in Canada may not assuage those feminist concerns. In 2012, amid some controversy, she ran a workshop called Overcoming the Cotton Ceiling. The “cotton ceiling” is a term used by some trans lesbian women to criticise biological lesbian women for refusing to have sex with them because they have penises.

The organiser, Planned Parenthood Toronto, insisted that “sexual consent was absolutely paramount . . . the workshop was never intended to promote overcoming any individual woman’s objections to sexual activity”. (continues)

It would be interesting to see how much money was awarded by the Lottery whilst he was Chair and also how much money the Govt gave Stonewall in other grants/income - whilst he was in post. Anybody up for having a look at that? Also to map that to recommendations coming out of the Equalities Committee during that same period.

JANUARY 28, 2014 BY EDWARD LORD
"Stonewall: a new dawn for the UK’s top LGBT equality campaign
Anyone who has read my blog on LGB&T issues may have noticed a scepticism in my tone about the work of Stonewall, the biggest and most influential equal rights campaign in the United Kingdom, this despite being listed by them amongst 17 LGB ‘Role Models’ in their publication of that name back in 2012.

In recent years, Stonewall, and more particularly its egregious Chief Executive, Ben Summerskill, has put itself on the wrong side of debates – arguing for example in 2010 that there was no need to campaign for equal marriage as civil partnerships were quite sufficient. Furthermore, Summerskill steadfastly refused to allow Stonewall in England to support trans* people in their battle for equality; and, most recently, he has consistently used the term ‘gay’ to cover all queer folk, which risks excluding those who identify as lesbian, bisexual, or in some other way that best suits them.

Then, last Thursday came the news that many LGB&T activists across the UK have long been waiting for. Ben has gone.

In his place as Acting Chief Executive is Ruth Hunt: Ben’s Deputy since last last April and a leading campaigner with the charity since 2005. In my experience of Ruth she is not only a highly effective lobbyist but also far more considered in approach and willing to listen to all sections of our communities.

Ruth has already made clear that she wishes to adopt a far more open and inclusive approach to Stonewall’s work. In her first tweet as Acting CEO she loyally said that she was proud to carry on Ben’s legacy but recognised that there is lots to do in Britain and around the world to end homophobia and biphobia.

The very mention of biphobia, recognising that bisexual people do face distinct discrimination both within LGB&T communities and beyond, is already a major step forward for Stonewall becoming genuinely inclusive in its campaigns.

Later on the same day – in a debate on Facebook – Ruth opened the door to Stonewall potentially taking up the baton on behalf of trans* people in their desire to achieve full equality in Britain and overseas.

I believe that there remains a major role for Stonewall. Discrimination against LGB&T people still exists in the hearts and minds of far too many people and institutions in our own country and around the world. The change in Stonewall’s leadership marks a new dawn for the charity and I wish Ruth well in her role as Acting CEO, and hopefully in the post substantively should the trustees find in her favour after their open recruitment process.

For now though I have reinstated my donation to Stonewall as a sign of my faith that they will change for the better. I hope others who, like me, had doubts about Stonewall under Summerskill will join in supporting Ruth Hunt as she takes the charity through its next stage of development."

Stonewall and Police:

CroneInAMillion twitter thread:
twitter.com/CroneInAMillion/status/1082770527310278656

"Well there's a thing. Because I filed a FOI Request to see who was involved in writing the police's National Trans Tool Kit. I found out it actually wasn't written by the police at all!

It was supplied by lobbying group Stonewall, then released without proper checks.

For those who missed it, in Nov 2018, the police released a hugely biased document that incorrectly advised all police forces that misgendering is a hate crime. Scarily, it implied that rejecting gender ideology/wrong body theory is also considered a hate crime.

However, they have left in other points of clear bias. For example, rejecting gender ideology/wrong body theory would still fall under the definition of transphobia.

Freedom of Thought (and by extension disbelief) is protected under the Human Rights Act 1998, article 9. Trans people do have a right to believe they are literally the opposite sex but they have no right to compel this belief in other people.

Seeing the police take a surprisingly controversial stance made me keen to investigate who exactly this definition had come from. So I submitted a Freedom of Information request to Surrey Police to find out. I received the following answer:

"The information that we hold is that the trans toolkit came from Stonewall. We do not hold any other information regarding this request other than it was ‘signed off’ by NPCC."

NPCC = National Police Chiefs' Council; a national co-ordinating body for law enforcement in the UK

We have to ask why lobbying groups are being allowed to write guidance and policy documents for the police and prison services. What is going on here? This can not be right."
