At the request of Susie Green. A public order offence has been mentioned.

What the shite is the world coming to.

Jeez Caroline.
That is so awful
Sorry for you not getting police backing
Just awful

CallMeSirShotsFired · 17/01/2019 14:03

What is she supposed to have done?

In tribute to Posie, let's answer that with a nice Dictionary Definition shall we:

castration
/kaˈstreɪʃ(ə)n/
noun
noun: castration; plural noun: castrations
the removal of the testicles of a male animal or man.

Fact 1: Susie Green took her male-born child to Thailand to be castrated (as per above definition) at the age of 16.
Fact 2: This operation is not allowed in the UK for minors.
Fact 3: After Susie Green had her son castrated there, Thailand also made the operation illegal for minors.

Posie Parker has repeated this publicly available information, which Susie Green has done so on multiple occasions, even laughing about her child's neo-vagina (a tube constructed of the inverted penis shaft and skin etc)

Datun · 17/01/2019 14:15

This was in the context of victim-blaming though Datun

Yes I sort of assumed it was. And I was waiting for someone to say if you want women to have recourse to the law, it's the law who is doing this.

Nonetheless, the police need to be held accountable.

I'm sure it's already been posted, but this thread by Dr EM is incredibly damning of Green. And well worth a read.

It's quite breathtaking that she is the one who the police are nailling their colours to. Big mistake in my opinion.

gendercritter · 17/01/2019 14:19

Caro Jesus reading that sent shivers down my spine. I'm sorry you've experienced so much harrassment. How frightening.

Ereshkigal · 17/01/2019 14:34

If the police know full well that talking about an issue will 100% bring you rape threats, death threats and being doxed, women need to have instant recourse to the law.

It's really shocking. And WTF are they doing? It sounds like they're using it as an excuse to dismiss/not take seriously.

feministfairy · 17/01/2019 14:53

Of course, if you are responsible for training the police then they are far more likely to see things from your perspective - as are local authorities, the Guides, politicians, schools etc.
And if your training focuses on removing sex segregated spaces / resources from women and children and rolling back safeguarding rules for children, then the police or courts will offer no protection as they've already been 'groomed' by these special interest groups into believing that this is OK.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 17/01/2019 14:59

Caro

It's not OK on any level how you have been targeted - The police are wrong - have you tried contacting Paladin the stalking advocacy service? - they are experts and have good contacts with some police and will advise you and advocate with police to get them to take action

sackrifice · 17/01/2019 15:52

Has anyone been prosecuted for any genital mutilation of children in the UK, ever?

misscockerspaniel · 17/01/2019 15:54

If this proceeds to court, I will proudly wear Posie's iconic t-shirt and stand outside the building in support, alongside the many other adult human females who would no doubt wish to do likewise.

Bowlofbabelfish · 17/01/2019 15:57

Do you have to accept a caution? Can’t you say thanks very much but you’re not doing it and if they have anything to charge you with kindly do so?

It would be hard on posie if this went to court, and I totally understand if she didn’t want to, but taking this to court would shine serious light on it.

HamiltonCork · 17/01/2019 16:37

No you don’t have to accept a caution

(As an aside if you have teenagers it is very good advice to give them. Many teenagers/young adults can often do stupid stuff and might accept a caution to make sure mum and dad don’t find out. But the bloody things follow you forever - often for things that would never lead to a prosecution ).

Carowiththegoodhair · 17/01/2019 16:51

I think Posie will take this all the way, wherever it leads her.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 17/01/2019 17:04

She will have a vast crowd of women right behind her if she does.

Purplewithgreenspots · 17/01/2019 17:15

sack, I believe that there is a case being started right now where black magic was involved. Only raised because the poor child had to go to hospital to be repaired.

Katispancuddly · 17/01/2019 17:19

Hate crimes?

More like they hate Posie eh ?
They hate that fact she stands up to them.
They hate the fact she's quick witted and strong.
They also hate the fact she's a mum, married and attractive. They do.

They hate her.

I've just read Leanne's really moving letter and I despise Susie Green and Mermaids all the more now.

Susie and the Monitors. What was right for you, isn't right for everyone. You are fundamentalists. You seek to validate yourselves and your choices. I don't agree with your belief system. Go read Leanne's letter if you dare.

Katispancuddly · 17/01/2019 17:19

And Flowers for caro too

TransposersArePosers · 17/01/2019 17:39

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands sorry I posted and left earlier but luckily EmpressAdultHumanFemale answered for me, thank you Empress!

If I get a Women Stand Up! Hoodie too I can alternate!

I agree. Posie is credible, appealing, gives no fucks and doesn't get bogged down with nuance. It's hugely refreshing to watch.

We are already schooled in the art of eggshell walking.

It's a massive relief when someone doesn't do it.

She's not trying to be political, or manipulative, or a fucking smarty-pants. She's just saying it, how she sees it.

It's massively powerful.

NameChangeForTheNewYear · 17/01/2019 18:03

I have a vague recollection about Mermaids receiving a grant that they intended to use for a legal fund/department? Does anyone else remember that? Perhaps it's all set up and they're basically (mis)using their resources to harass Posie. If this wee bit of speculation has legs, I'd like to hear them justify this to the charities commission!

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/01/2019 18:05

A little reminder for us all

That clip will never get tired - Fanny Haddock got owned.

Carowiththegoodhair · 17/01/2019 18:23

Bang on Datun. Plus there’s something about her that screams woman. It helps that she’s easy on the eye which is doubly infuriating to her enemies.

Thingybob · 17/01/2019 18:24

NameChangeForTheNewYear

They received a grant from Tudor Trust to fund in-house legal support.

They were recruiting for a solicitor or a barrister
