www.capitalfm.com/yorkshire/radio/news/local/hate-crime-report-rise-in-leeds-is-a-good-thing/

"Police say the LGBT community in Leeds is reporting more hate crimes than ever and that's a good thing

Reports from the transgender community in particular have more than tripled here since 2016.

West Yorkshire Police Hate Crime Co-ordinator, Kev Brighton said: 'People are getting confident and we're dealing with it."

(he had to be called 'Brighton', didn't he.)

It goes on with the inevitable BS

"Rachel Smith started her transition in 2012.

People have lost their lives because of the incessant hate that they receive on a daily basis." (this literally never happens.)

No, not2daysanta "spewing bile" if that's what you insist on calling it, about the fucking ridiculous way West Yorkshire police treat women, which is of a piece with how they have consistently treated women.

Is that ok with you? Do tell us what else you believe women (the cunty kind) should be concerned with, just so we know we're going about feministing correctly.

Fighting oppression, with oppression.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Women talking on a message board is oppression but using the police force most renowned for misogyny in the entire country as a personal ideological enforcement team is no problemo?

Get a grip.

Ranking overall of police forces. Interesting that Suffolk is number 1.

Suffolk is 3rd in crimes detected. Presumably the good work done and standards set by Alan Caton is continuing

If three people report the same incident to the police, is this logged as three separate reports? I think it is... So in fact "tripling of reports" is a fairly meaningless statistic, apart from regarding public awareness that it is possible to report such concerns (which is not itself a bad thing, of course)

When DVAWG figures are being manipulated by only counting the first few reports, I really can't get behind the glee that a Police force is showing about this.

"Our incredibly stupid plan that everyone except Susie told us was stupid is going great! No, you can't ask us about the managed zone in Leeds, that's not nice."
